Some information about Nicholls State

Lost last week to Incarnate Word 20-10, that was their 20th straight loss. This is not a good football team even at the FCS level.

Their roster does have one Colorado connection. Former CU DB Jeff Hall plays for them

They also have some transfers from LSU, SMU, Alabama, Utah, and ULaff.

The roster includes some size with 9 players listed at 300lb or more but no indication of the quality of that size.

Overall coming off a rough game with CSU with a lot of players bruised up this looks like the perfect time to be playing these guys. I would hope that we are seeing the bottom of our depth charts before the end of the third quarter.
 
what state are they in? what city? what conference? never mind, i'll google. i thought they were in nebraska or something but "geaux" sounds louisiana...
 
The goal is to play mistake free football and have all starters out by the middle of the third.

They seat 10,500 in a 43 year old stadium, having gone 0-12 last year it's hard to imagine it's a tough ticket.

The body bag games make sense except that if they have any intent of getting out of their hole getting beaten up over and over again doesn't help even if you are making money for it.

Sac State, Montana State...somebody help me here, I feel like I'm missing one. We beat Central Arkansas, I think. Snuck one out against Eastern Washington. Toledo is G5. I don't think we lost to Portland State. I just feel like I'm missing a team that we should have easily beaten but didn't.
 
They trailed Louisiana-Monroe by 40 at halftime and lost by double digits to Incarnate Word. This isn't comparable to our recent FCS games against Central Arkansas and the like. These guys are absolutely godawful. CU may be up 50 at halftime if we keep our foot on the accelerator past the first quarter.

We beat Charleston Southern easily.
 
The rush could get scary- given the random theory of everything they're due for a BIG game.

They've been outscored 669-173 since the start of last season. Their best performances in this time frame are a 44-16 loss at Air Force, last week's 20-10 loss to Incarnate Word, and a 27-10 loss to Division II Henderson State. On the flip side, they've lost by 74 to North Texas, by 67 to Arkansas (Arkansas was up 56-0 a few minutes before halftime), by 59 to Southeastern Louisiana, and by 47 to Louisiana Monroe (Monroe went up 40 a couple minutes before half and called it a day).

Really comparing those teams to this one? Embree had no chance and Hawkins was a complete moron. This is a game we will not lose or have close. Beat CSU and beat a UMass team that may be Nichols 45-7. Drake was the only other team in the last 40 years that CU had absolutely no business losing to. Oh that and the pre Briles Baylor fiasco in Waco in 2003 I believe.

Those teams were good at their level, Nichols is not.
 
Consider too that this is our 4th game of the season so a lot of the kinks have been worked out. This is essentially our bye week. Get players healthy and get the easy win.
