somewhat OT: USC Game

First off, I know people who come and post this type of request on my home message board get plenty of ribbing, so I'm fully prepared for it. I have thick skin, so rail away. I apologize if I was supposed to post this in the off topic forum, but it didn't appear that people posted there very often.

My brother (also a Mississippi State fan) and some of our friends (Alabama fans) have been wanting to experience a Pac 12 game for awhile and decided to come out to Boulder for the USC game and skip the annual a** whooping that Alabama gives Mississippi State. We will of course be pulling hard for y'all, and we want to get the full Colorado Buffalo gameday experience.

Could I get some pointers on the following (for age reference, we're late 20s/early 30s):

Should we tailgate or go to a bar before the game? If y'all recommend going to bar instead of tailgating, what bars would you recommend?

What bars/restaurants or general parts of town should we check out after the game?

Any unique gameday traditions we should be aware of/be sure not to miss?

Is there a better place than the major 3rd party vendors to find tickets? I noticed the exchange on here, but I wanted to make sure it's okay for us to use since, although we'll be pulling hard for y'all, none of us are alums or boosters etc. I don't want to ruffle any feathers.

Any other pointers are welcome. Looking forward to a Colorado win.

Seriously, get here Friday night. Hit Pearl St. Be there for the Buff Stampede, sort of a parade/player interaction with the fans. Plenty of bars/restaraunts and young ladies about. If it is a day game, hit the Hill early (just ask everyone will point the way). If a night game, troll the tailgates, look for the tailgate hosted by a poster here, Sackman. You will be welcomed, fed, given drink and generally treated in a manner befitting someone from Mississippi.

Start here... use the search function at the top right corner (use the "more" feature to get deeper into the search) and type in Boulder Bars.

Feel free to ask questions about specifics. You will have a blast in Boulder.

Be prepared weather wise. November 11th it could be anywhere from 65-70 on the high side all the way to temps in the single digits and snow.
If the game is at night, even if it was a warm day, you will find temps dropping into the 40s or upper 30s by the end of the 4th qtr. Be prepared !

Don't listen to ITB. Shorts and sandals, it's all you'll need.

As for tickets, I think there should still be some available through the AD website.

Of course this guy is the spokesperson of the group, but if they can verbally communicate as well as he rights, they should be able to do okay outside of the south for a weekend.

*writes.

I normally wouldn't call out that kind of typo, but when you're delivering a back handed compliment to someone from Mississippi, it's little things like correct spelling that keep you from looking like an idot. (y)

Hey @VisitingMSUBulldog , I wouldn't take this **** from a Cal fan!
How I see @VisitingMSUBulldog

Few thoughts that pop into the mind that may make your Colorado/P12 experience one that will last a life time. 1) Coming from a warmer climate pack every piece of what you deem to be "warm clothing", plan to overdress should the weather cooperate you can always take clothes off you just can't add. 2) Don't order any food that you would normally in Miss. as most Southerners (myself included) eat for taste not health. 3) Find a AllBuffs poster who time permitting will show you the campus then bike up Boulder Canyon. 4) Wear your school's colors game day, I've sat next to people from all over the country that travel to Folsom, in 4 hrs you'll make a memory that will last a lifetime + make a friend or two as long as you trash knu. 5) Order green chille on your Rellenos no worries you won't be running to the loo every 3 minutes on the flight home. (6) And last show me your flight ticket and I'll pay pal you $40.00 towards your ticket. Of all of the stadiums I've watched football in Folsom is like no other, there isn't a "bad" seat and 40 bucks is worth sharing the experience. Follow this and you'll be a BUFF forever.
