1. I hate the Huskers worse than when we were in the same conference



2. I actually don't mind the USC Trojans



3. I want Dick Vitale to retire. After seeing him smooch on Ashley Judd, the dude needs to ride off into the sunset.

4. I respect Tini's sports facts and figures. But don't let it go to your head, your attitude still has a ways to go youngster!
 
1. CU basketball has to be really competitive to capture my attention.

2. CU football does not.

3. Images of Ashley Judd as Ruby, in Ruby in Paradise, still occasionally visit my brain right before the culminating moment. I choose to forget the photo in the OP.

A big amen to number three. I'm going to say my Hail Mary's right now.
 
1. Can't really get that into CU Basketball unless we are a top 25 or very close to that team.
2. I really want to believe in the "stars don't matter/ diamond in the rough" recruiting in football is going to lead us out of the abyss but I don't actually believe that. Stars and other P5 offers matter, period.
3. Not sure our beloved Buffs football will ever recover. Sometimes I think we are going to be stuck in this rut forever. Looking at you Iowa State as where we might be.
 
1. I'd be fine to never have a >.500 football season again if it meant basketball was consistently top 25 and won 1 NC before I died
2. I would rather scenario 1 be replaced with me sacrificing Tini's life for us to have football and basketball both top 25 forever and each winning an NC or two

That's why I'm confessing this. There was only 1 that was field rush worthy and that was beating #1/#2 OU in 2007(??).

The others, if my memory serves me, were:

(#21??) West Virginia on Thursday night in 2008
Georgia in 2010
TTU in 2006 - Gross
Iowa State in 2006 - I hate myself

When I think about it, I may have rushed the field for more than half the wins I saw at Folsom Field from 2006-2010. :sad1:

I tore my acl the week before the game. I rushed the field like everyone else and remember the the wall of people going down to the field. I remember being packed in so tight on the stairs that my feet barely touched the ground. The wall (was sitting around the 40 yard line) down to the field was quite the obstacle, but I believe I landed on my good leg so that worked out fine. Then I got the grand idea that I needed to go crowd surfing, several times, I managed to always land on the good leg, but that was pretty dumb.

My leg actually got worse the next week in Dallas. We had to park so far from the stadium (**** that place), that my knee swelled up to the size of a grapefruit.

my sports confession #1: I was put in a full headlock and almost stabbed by some Texas fans at the Big 12 championship.
my sports confession #2: I convinced at least a dozen people to storm the field after the Big 12 championship (minutes after the fight) by walking down to the rail and screaming at people "this is our house, let's go take our house", watching them hop over the wall, take two steps on the field, and get arrested. I would then turn to the next person and say the same thing and see the same outcome.

That is pretty funny. Any chance you have Russian ancestors from the mid 1940s?
 
Have never rushed the field. Was a student for some pretty big wins and a Heisman run right in front of the student section. I might rush the field in Hawaii if we win.... man, have we sunk low!
 
1. I hate all Texas teams in any sport (pro or college), with the exception of SMU (where I went to undergrad)

2. I will watch football over any other sport, no matter how important the game is (i.e. I'll watch KU vs. ISU in football over game 7 of the world series).

3. I would rather stay home on Sunday and watch NFL Red Zone, than go to Mile High. Even if tickets are free and someone else is buying my booze.
 
My biggest sports confession is that I seem to care less and less each year. I still love college sports but the money is making me like it less. I think high schools sports could be fun but I don't want to be that creepy guy by himself staring at the cheerleaders.

Take out the creepy part and this is me. Except I could care less about high school sports. I am not sure if it's cause CU keeps making it too painful or that I'm maturing. I hope it's the former.

How was football in Kauai? When I was out there it seemed to be all about baseball but I thought going to a Waimea vs. Kapa'a game could be fun.

Exactly how I feel. In JH and HS, I used to follow a a dozen sports religiously. A few years ago, it was down to college football and NFL. I'm quickly losing interest in the NFL. I think part of the problem is the all-access sports media is increasingly focused on the business side and the ugly side of sports.

as big as anything, but not that big. surf comps were more important.
 
1. I do not give two ****s about women sports. They bore me and I don't think the product is interesting at all. Respect the athletes for the time and energy they invest in their sport, but I don't care about the sport.
2. I don't hate Duke or UNC like many
3. I dislike all religious schools. Especially **** Baylor and BYU.
4. Baseball sucks donkey ****

I feel the same way. Lost a lot of appeal due to the money, all-access, it pays to cheat (all levels of sports), exploitation, etc.
