That tweet was the first time I have heard of sprint (or lightweight) football. Weight is capped at 178 pounds for every player regardless of position in that type of football.

Here is Navy’s 2019 sprint football highlights. It was interesting to not see Navy run their traditional option offense but since things are on an even keel, why would they do that anyway?



Suppose there was to be something like that across the country for college football, what would the ideal weight limit be?

How much different would college football be with a weight limit if we were to ever go down that route?
