I'll say this for him. For the first time in a long ass time, I'm pretty confident he'll make the kick. When was the last time we could say that? Nice point slider, few longer ones wouldn't hurt. Selfishly, I'd like to know his range is really. He might need to use it down the stretch.
Ok, on that miss, was it short or did he just hook it, push it?
The only way I see him leaving is if he and his wife are tired of living in married student housing. It has to be tough at his age to delay the next step even further. Does anyone know if they have children as well?
I don't know, but I'd imagine as a non-freshman next year, he'd be able to move into an actual apartment.
True. As much as we joke about how great it would be, I'm just wondering if living the college life at his age is a bit grating for the family and they are ready to transition back to a more "normal" lifestyle. Whatever that might mean for them.
I didn't see anything about kids, guess they don't yet. Unless I missed it? Aren't a ton of links really.

I think living the college life as a married person would actually suck balls. For him, it just has to be looked at as a job, and a means to a much more lucrative end.

I read a quote from an NFL scout when Crosby was a senior. It was interesting, because the scout actually downplayed the distance factor.
It was something like "the 50 yard field goals are nice, but they don't actually mean much. The real reason he (Crosby) is going to play in the NFL is because he has never missed a field goal under 35 yards, and he's only missed once under 45."
Basically the "drive for show, putt for dough," point. Fans love, and are impressed by, kickers who can put it through at 50 yards.
NFL GMs and coaches would rather have a guy that never misses under 35 yards but is very suspect over 45 than one who makes 75% over 50 and 90% under 35.
There's a lot of value in having absolute confidence that if you get into the red zone you're virtually guaranteed 3 points.

About two yards short. Dead center.
After 3+ years, my GPA was under 1. I did some summer schools, then went back and re-did undergrad and CU law school. I honestly was a full time student on the Boulder campus for 10+ years - a truly wonderful time. (I only applied to 1 law school - because I wasn't going to leave Boulder. They initially turned me down, but I wouldn't take no for an answer and graduated with my class.)

Interesting question brought up in Howell's chat today about Stefanou leaving for the NFL after this season. I guess he could since he is three years removed from high school (and then some). But the possibility never occurred to me since we're used to players being in college three years before they can leave. But since he's in his 30s and is married, I'm guessing he'll go so he can start earning money to support his family. It will suck for us to lose one of the few consistently bright spots we've had this year, however,
I don't think any NFL team is going to draft him after only playing one season of football in his life, and UDFA Kickers aren't usually seriously considered for a roster spot. I think he'd be foolish to leave this year.

Confused by the facts
Maybe, but kickers tend to have longer careers than other NFL players. I think he's got another year in him knocking 50+ yarders through the uprights wearing black and gold.
