That was the last year that CU went winless at home.

Will Embree take it to the next level by breaking this 120 year streak?

I was just alerted that it's only been since 1920 since we've gone winless at home.

I guess the guys who broadcasted the game had it wrong. I really don't care enough to look it up, but I changed the thread title.

It's nice to know that some CU fans somewhere may have lived long enough to see this come full circle to where the program was in their birth year.

Wasn't 1920 because they didn't play at Folsom? Gamble field? I don't know the story maybe someone could fill me in?

I figured it out. NM

Brian Howell actually corrected us on twitter. The 1920 team went 0-1-2 while giving up 21 points at home, the 1890 and 1891 lost every game they played at home that season.

OK. So it was 1920 since we failed to win a home game and 1891 since we've lost every home game.

Embree is actually going after an 1891 mark. Howell is picking nits.

Man... if ONLY we could claim even ONE tie at home! Losing to Sac State vs tying them. Well... come to think of it - just having them CLOSE was awful enough. I was certain that would be a 4-TD minimum point-spread. Figgered it'd be a fired-up team after spending the whole summer planning on beating CSU, then losing that game... I thought we'd stomp a very crummy second-division team. Instead...

No problem Embree will bring home the record and add to his trophy case of infamy and haplessness
