Take a closer look at the kids listed higher than Wheatley. Its a pretty impressive list of corners. 17th is not an insult to him.

Exactly. At 17th, he will get drafted by someone. Hopefully the injury troubles are behind him and he can be a solid backup CB in the NFL.

Reggie Smith ahead of Talib? I don't think so.
Smith is more versatile than Talib. He can be a returner in addition to CB.

I am more miffed about Jordan Dizon than T-Wheat. The report questions Dizon's size but there are players the same size listed higher than him that size is not even mentioned....
Dizon will be a huge asset to whichever team drafts him. Sometimes the pure numbers approach that happens this time of year is not good.

Dont these two look like the same size to you? Why the f*ck is every one dissing Dizon about his size when the 2nd rated OLB is the exact same size? Highsmith is probably faster but Dizon is just a great football player!!!

Stupid.... Stupid. I dont like that list. I listen to ESPN radio every single day of my life. They go over the draft every single day of my life, Aqib Talib is the unanimous #1 corner taken, I have never heard anything different, or them either talk about any other corner... THis stupid thing has him 5
The combine and it's focus on marginally relevant things is hilarious. Like that douchebag McShay on ESPN having a ****ing orgasm last night because the OL from Michigan had an 11 inch fingerspan. Seriously?
I want a guy who has proven that he can make big plays against top talent. I think Dizon has conclusively proven that.

Actually they don't when I watch them on TV.. highsmith looked bigger on the field than Dizon.
Dizon will make a team. Probably a team like the Colts or Bucs who like small, quick LB's..
Not surprised by Wheatley.. I don't think he has closing speed to keep up with receivers.. I don't think he was good as Strickland was and he has had injury problems in the NFL and been on numerous teams.. Hope the best for him though..

I don't remember if Talib did any ST time - doesn't seem like he did last year. However, pure and simple, Talib is a better CB than Smith. As I recall, Smith spent his first year at FS, hence, he only has 2 years work at corner.
Smith has the athleticism to make it as a corner, but he'll need some time to hone his skills. Talib, on the other hand, can play corner now. That's why this list surprised me as much as it did.
