Tennis Hosts Cal & Stanford This Weekend

BOULDER –The University of Colorado women’s tennis team will host a pair of nationally ranked opponents this weekend with No. 16 California and No. 4 Stanford visiting the South Campus Tennis Facility.

The Buffaloes, ranked No. 64 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll will take on the No. 16 California Golden Bears, Sunday, March 23 at 10 a.m. On Monday, CU will battle the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal at 11 a.m.

In case of inclement weather, the matches will be moved to the Rocky Mountain Center (Millennium Hotel Harvest House). Parking and admission are free at both venues.

CU is 7-8 overall and 0-4 in the Pac-12 Conference, enters the week with three of its players having 16 or more victories on the season. Sophomore Alex Aiello tops the Buffaloes with 19, followed by freshman Nuria Ormeño Ruiz (18), and junior Julyette Steur (16).
