A few years ago, we had 2 losing programs and AllBuffs basketball forums that could go a month without seeing a post.
No more.
This was one of the greatest seasons (maybe the greatest) in the history of CU basketball. Both programs finished with over 20 wins for the first time ever and the men brought home a Pac-12 Championship.
Both programs have recruiting classes coming in that are nationally ranked.
We cut the ribbon on a new state-of-the-art practice facility along with making arena improvements.
Revenues from the men's program are reportedly 3x what they were 3 years ago.
And following it on AllBuffs amazingly good. The improvements from when I was treading water with the hoops forums are dramatic. I honestly don't know how it can get much better besides just growing as the program grows.
There was great and timely info all year. There was great analysis. We had some new members and guests to the site who added a ton of good content while raising our basketball IQs (I'm not naming names for fear of omission). Our recruiting coverage is unreal, especially considering how difficult it can be to find and compile this for hoops. We had some great get togethers for pre-games and even gave away some tickets. And the passion of Buff fans for hoops really found an outlet here that resulted in our members doing some great things to support the program, go nuts in game threads & chat, and keep this place fun (read: irreverent).
I also wanted to commend Jens for the great work he's done with social media to help make this happen, too. It's still shocking for me to see some of the people who follow the AB twitter feed. And the way that AB was able to drive donation for these C-Club road trips, get season ticket reservations going from the AD, and even find someone willing to pick up Snow and Rugged was nothing short of amazing.
So, I guess I ended up thanking everyone. But, really, that is hand-in-glove with thanking Goose for doing an amazing job pulling all this together and making it what it is.
