Hats off to Coach Mac! He truly embraced the significance of the CU-Nebraska game. You could tell afterwards he knew what he just did. As much as I hate the nubs and all they are, to win there, AND, not only to win there, to do it on opening day at that stadium is history! Tough joint and hellava W one that I’ll chalk up to one of the best I can remember!

It was a long wait and I knew after leaving for the Pac it would suck not having this game over Thanksgiving weekend anymore.

Best Buffs win in a long time!

When was the last time Neb lost a home opener?

It was an amazing game. Though, very frustrating at times...Honestly, the stadium and Husker fans were disappointed, but in my section, they treated me like an ambassador, it was odd. Then I glanced at FB, and you’d think I was wanted for murder...and I wasn’t talking ****...life in Nebraska with in-laws that went to CSU. Ob-la-di ob-la-da

The Buffs though, way to stick with it down to the end! Singing the fight song way up and away from any semblance of a CU section was great!

They lost in 2015 to BYU in the opener but before that they had a 29 game home opening win streak the longest in the nation. They were 32-1 in home openers going into yesterdays game.
A) Sweet, thanks for the stat. 2) This is kinda what I figured! So d) suck it even harder corn holes.

Was going to post this in the Dixon thread, but more fitting here. Re Dixon’s mom’s tweet... I’m not saying it has to be that way and it’s easier to be complimentary when you win, but Mac is all class. Shortcomings in recruiting to be sure, which hopefully he keeps fixing, but he’s a pretty damn good coach that definitely makes me proud that he’s leading our program the right way.

I highly recommend shooting a quick note of appreciation to benson, destephano, the regents, and whomever you know in the AD. Let ‘em know you recognize and appreciate giving our student athletes the biggest stage in which to shine. Nothing unites Buff nation like getting good national exposure with football being a beautiful front porch to the University.

Because of all the talk about Mac #1 this week I initially thought that was who you were referring to.
Speaking of which, if he did get the 2 minutes with the team he asked for, I wonder what he said.

Kinda my point. Their fans are probably in more than normal shock - home opener AND Scott Frost.

Well, to be completely fair to the Huskers, they did at least attempt to schedule a cupcake (Akron) to be their Opening Day opponent and puff up their home opener record, it's just that Mother Nature and the Buffs spoiled their plan. They never intended for CU to be the real opener, but that's how the cards fell. Oh well.
