tad, i hate you much less than i did in high school. you are a good coach.

team, thanks for the great year. that game could have gone either way and you played well.

i believe we may actually have some MO in basketball headed into the p12.

GO BUFFS!!!!

no inside story. he was a great hs bb player. any team that faced his team had trouble with him.

and then he went to ku rather than CU.

but, all is forgiven, tad. just stay for about 10 years and turn us into a bb power.

:woot:

2nd this. GREAT JOB Buffs. Bohn - find something to honor Higgins. He may not warrant a retired jersey, but figure something out - honorary names around the CEC like the ring of fame, etc. We need to honor many of our past players as well, as we've had some great ones.

Good job Buffs - we will miss a lot of you next season, and wish you all the best. Thank you for honoring the CU uniform.:congrats::congrats::congrats::congrats:

Higgins tied the record

Great season...CU has etched out a great piece of history this year...next year's team needs to set a goal to IMPROVE ON THIS YEAR!!!!!

What do we have to look forward to next year? I know that the Buffs lose quite a few players this year, but players we do have coming back to fill the voids are:

Utah transfer Carlon Brown will help replace some scoring as he was the leading scorer for the Utes when he played there last year.
We also have Shane Harris-Tunks coming back from a knee injury - he was poised to have a breakout year before his injury, hopefully he will have some of that same fire.
Shannon Sharpe should gain quite a bit of confidence after his first full season back from injury, he could use some polishing in his game, so hopefully he will put in quite a bit of work on that this offseason.
Roberson will hopefully put on 20 pounds this offseason and be a FORCE next year in the paint. He could also use some work at the FT line.
Ben Mills also needs to put another 25-35 pounds on his 7 foot frame in order to be utilized efficiently.
Tomlinson needs to take more offensive chances next year and take control of the team.
Dufault - will benefit from another offseason and not having to go against another teams bigs all the time next year.

I think that our new recruits will push for some PT early in their careers.

I don't buy the hype of Shannon Sharpe. I think we would be in trouble if he's the guy to handle the ball.

We really lose a lot on Levi, Cory and Alec. But we should be much better in post.

I think he was very tentative this year, hopefully he can break out of his shell and take control a little more (much like Tomlinson needs to). Who will be our 3 shooter next year??

The kids a freshman. Let's give him a chance before everyone turns on the kid.

:yeahthat: He had his moments this year. Think he'll be a good player with more experience, and some more confidence in his knee.

I dont think Shape will be a star as Bz predicted but should be a solid contributor for us. Its also woth noting that not just did he miss last year but also didint play basketball the year before either.

we had some damn good memories this year:

huge comeback to beat Texas
beating Mizzou to start the Big 12 season undefeated
beating Kansas State 3 times
final four in the NIT tourney, with a last 2nd shot to win it
the excitement of selection sunday (I know we didn't get it, but this is the first time I watched it in years).
getting piss ass drunk as we got snubbed on selection sunday
beating CSU is always nice
seeing a player like Dre step up his game each and every week
winning 2 games in the Big 12 tourney (especially watching KSU go down for the third time)

thanks for the memories seniors and other players, you truly made this season fun to watch as a fan and it has been a long time since we had either a football team or basketball team that has made us this proud. How about we do it all again in about 7 months, with a better finish this time?

i think Sharpe can be a contributor. he showed some nice moves to the rim, but finishing wasn't always the best.

as others have alluded to, it was great (despite the loss) to see a lot of CU fans cheering and happy last night. home games at the CEC this year as well. it's far too long that a CU home game at Folsom was an occasion for sarcastic bemusement, that "here we go again" feeling, and teeth-grinding frustration.

is anyone not going to renew their season tickets next year?

is anyone going to buy season tickets that didn't have them this year?
