How confident are we of the authenticity?
Chipy, thank you so much, honestly, for posting that link. I went to it and found a post about Emory Ballard. I know none of you have any idea who coach Ballard was. I was a kid growing up in San Angelo, Texas. In 1966 San Angelo Central, coached by Coach Ballard, won the 5A State Championship game. It is one of my great football memories. Central was outweighed by about 20 lbs per man on both lines against Galveston Ball, I think. We were called "The Mighty Minis of the Concho." The Concho River cuts through San Angelo. We were at the game, played at the UofT stadium in Austin. Soon after, Coach Ballard left to be an assistant at Texas. He became the offensive coordinator and is credited for developing the Wishbone. According to the article, Coach Ballard, now 82, has been diagnosed with ALS. So sad. I would never have known, probably, if you had not posted that totally unrelated thread. Thanks.
i posted this before, but the day after CU declared for the Pac at 8 AM there was a "mobile" paper shredder parked outside the the Dal. big truck, with an industrial size shredder in the trailer. like a medium to large size moving truck.
be interesting to see the list of clients for a mobile paper shredding service. located in Denver.
