We're finally in our first week of full-blown conference play, with nobody idle and nobody out of conference. Should be a great weekend of competitive games.

As usual, my predictions are coming in the morning, but let's hear yours and the reasons why in the comments:

THURSDAY (all times ET)

Kansas State at Kansas (Fox Sports Net, 7:30 p.m.): This year's Sunflower Showdown may have the same less-than-amazing rivalry moniker, but it's definitely worth tuning in for. The last time we saw the Jayhawks at their best was against a team built around the running game. Kansas is strong at linebacker and should be able to turn the game into a physical contest.

SATURDAY

No. 21 Missouri at Texas A&M (Fox Sports Net, noon): The undefeated Tigers are in search of more respect. Texas A&M just wants a win, something they haven't had in three weeks. Something's gotta give.

Texas at No. 5 Nebraska (ABC, 3:30 p.m.): This won't be the high-stakes clash we thought it would be this summer, but Nebraska has plenty to play for. Namely, bragging rights for what could be a long, long time and a chance to beat the Longhorns for just the second time since joining the Big 12.

No. 20 Oklahoma State at Texas Tech (Fox Sports Net, 3:30 p.m.): Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen makes his return to Lubbock, and brings a big-time offense with him, stocked with what's become one of the best sets of skill-position players in the Big 12. They'll take on a Texas Tech defense that's given up 90 points in its past two games. Points: you should expect them.

Baylor at Colorado (Fox College Sports, 7 p.m.): This should be a sneaky-good game, with Baylor playing its best opponent on the road of the season and Colorado, who's clearly a better team at home, facing its best opponent of the season in Boulder. Anything could happen in this one, and both teams need a win badly.

Iowa State at No. 6 Oklahoma (Fox Sports Net, 7 p.m.): The mismatch of the week, Iowa State enters as three-touchdown underdogs who might be without their best player, running back Alexander Robinson.
