The dead period ends tomorrow

While the coaches will be putting the finishing touches on the 2018 class before signing day on February 7th, the recruiting for the 2019 class begins in earnest tomorrow. The end of the dead period marks a three-week window for coaches to conduct off-campus recruiting for the only time before the Spring Evaluation Period starts in mid-April.

Additionally, there is a major change to Official Visits starting this spring. Junior prospects can now take official visits April 1st-June 24th. This is a rule which should help the Buffs get more OOS prospects on campus during the Spring and Summer (prospects can also use an OV in conjunction with on-campus camps) than in past years.

Still plenty of uncertainty about how the 2018 class will shake out, but a good number to use as a gauge for the 2019 class is 20-22.

Who are the top targets for signing day on Feb. 7th? How many scholarships do we have to work with?

The dead period ends tomorrow, and CU is short two coaches...

Making it harder on yourself is not a good idea in an endeavor that as competitive as recruiting.
The big thing is that they need to get out on the road for the 2019 class.

We are no worse off than most.
At the end of the day, MM can put 10 coaches out on the road tomorrow by having Di Prato and Taye or Chidera hitting the road for the '19 kids. A lot of schools are much worse off than that situation.

I am hoping we see an announcement sometime this weekend. If it drags into next weekend, then it starts getting a little silly.

Meh. We're only filling like 2 spots

How many programs have full staffs at this point? How many programs have filled the 10th AC position? Have we seen a lot of movement on that from everybody else or are we just being Allbuffs finding a way to be upset with CU football?

Just looking around, it is a bit chaotic right now, so everything is fine... for now.

But I would think it dragging out past next weekend would not be a good sign.
