I don't get overly excited about S&C coaches getting hired, because, as Binary said, they often have some story about how out of shape the players he inherited are, but I will say in MacIntyre's case, I was reading a story of when he was hired at SJSU and he talked a lot about working under Bill Parcells and how important conditioning was to the Tuna and that HCMM wanted to stress that in his program.
SJSU's conditioning was a huge reason for their success.
Don't talk about Ped programs around Penn State. . . .. . . . . .

Gotcha I never heard that before (but I did miss the first week of the new coaching hire). I think it is pretty much bull****, but maybe because we have been hearing about CU "gonna push teams around" or CU will "wear them out at altitude". We have NFL conditioning or we talk about the importance of clean and jerks but we still look weak, small and slow on the field.

No, seriously. You used to be funny, and now you seem intentionally thick in an effort to get a rise. I'm just wondering if you've had a negative life event of sorts.
We may not be big, but we sure are slow!
I'm not going to say that it doesn't matter but it seems like S&C is always a key ingredient in losing teams kool-aid when grasping for straws. When it comes down to it the guys who are bigger, faster, stronger will be bigger, faster, stronger no matter who the S&C coach is. The new guy isn't going to magically make our players into USC talents.
About the only time I can remember an S&C guy making a real difference was when CU had Doc Kreus (sp.) and that was a negative impact due to having half the team on the bench with shoulder injuries.

Okay hillbcsilly, I can see how you got confused. Sometimes people here in the west use sarcasm on the internet, which is poor at best in reflecting tone. So far I have heard great coaching, talent evaluation, player development and now strength and conditioning all as big reason for success at sjsu. I wasn't sure if tini was being sarcastic so I shorthanded a question for him so I can be sure. Does this help

I still don't understand why you are so stupid. I thought he was using sarcasm and when he said he wasn't, I asked him to explain. It makes no sense that it made you mad but I guess if I had one tooth, drool on my overalls and was dating my sister I would get upset for no reason too. So carry on.
