The officiating at the end of this game is why basketball can suck

Yup, not just that call, but most the last 2 min and overtime as well. College hoops has a homer problem.
 
The side angle on that 3 was clear as day. Clock showed 0.1 and there was at least a ton of space between Chen's hand and the ball.

And after they showed it once, that replay disappeared. Must have made the former U of A point guard doing color for ESPiN uncomfortable...
 
They called it good at the time. There was nothing to overturn it.
 
What gets me most about this call is that the shot was originally called good. That means the burden of proof is completely on the opposite,therefore making the call that much worse.

Absolutely horrible!! Who here didn't see it coming during the review? I try to love basketball but that bull**** makes me want to puke.
 
I don't see how they could OVERTURN it.

It would be one thing if they waved it off to start with. But the goal was counted originally. What did they see that made them take the basket away?

Total **** job, there.
 
Eventually I want to be the team who has enough cred and tradition to get these calls. Total bull**** but look at the teams that get them. Tad will get us there but it sucks right now. **** I wish we had hit a couple more fts. game over then.
 
Upon further review he may not have got the shot off. On deadspin look at the arena clock and not the clock on the screen, it was running quicker.

There are pictures of the arena clock as well, and yes it is closer, but still looks like he clearly got it off to me

The red light around the backboard is what's official when it comes to the clock running out

Did you not see the angles that ESPNU was showing? Side angle clearly shows Chen got it off. Quit rationalizing this ****.
