1. Colorado

The Buffaloes are off to a 3-0 start to the season, and everybody is feeling good. I'm just not sure how good they should be feeling. Yes, the Buffs are 3-0, but they're 3-0 with wins over Colorado State, Nebraska and New Hampshire. Those three are a combined 1-10 on the season. Advanced metrics aren't a big fan of Colorado to this point, as the F/+ ratings from Football Outsiders have this team ranked No. 67 in the country. For perspective, Florida State is at No. 57.

Also, let's not forget that Colorado began the 2017 season with a 3-0 mark as well, beating Colorado State, Texas State and Northern Colorado. What followed was seven losses in Pac-12 play.

I don't believe the same fate awaits for these Buffs. From what I've seen, this looks like a bowl team. Still, even so, with games remaining against Arizona State, USC, Washington, Washington State, Utah and Cal, it's hard to envision Colorado getting through the year without at least four losses. Though, as somebody who has always been partial to watching Ralphie run onto Folsom Field, I'm hoping it doesn't happen.

--------------------------------------------------------

Seems like the national media folks are kind of rooting for Ralphie to rise, but they don't believe it and don't respect us yet.

Ain't nothing for it but to run the damn table!

I think that was a fair analysis. We have a lot to prove still...how we play in the next 3 games will tell us a lot about this team.

I don't think UW is unbeatable. If we get their A game, we lose. But we can play with the team that showed up against ASU.
If we play in the first half the way we played in the second against Nubs and Trash Eaters we can play with anyone in this conference

Just do what good teams do, beat the teams you should. Four of the 16 loses were at the hands of the Buffs so 1/4 of the total.

Bottom line, the only thing this team can do is play the schedule they were given. So glad to be 4-0. In years past we would not have been. This program is getting better and better

Yep.

And it's not like we've beaten horrible programs having horrible seasons. We're beating good programs with good talent that are having horrible seasons.

Nebraska's an all-time top 10. UCLA's an all-time top 25-30. CSU has been on a bowl streak. NH is on a long playoff streak in FCS.

No one would have thought this was a bad schedule until it became a bad schedule. I think that does matter a bit because you are having to deal with talent and those teams can be dangerous when they're dialed in. On that note, NU and CSU are rivalry games. Neither was at home. NU was the debut of their savior coach. Then UCLA was getting a Kelly-coached team with 2 weeks to prepare -- and we saw a bunch of scripted and scheme stuff in Q1 that the team had to adjust to.

In short, it's been a crappy schedule but it's also been about as tough as a crappy schedule gets.

Just win. Cu has yet to beat a good team. It’s true. It’s ok. Beat ASU at home and show the country the team is not just a team capable of beating bad teams. You guys are really sensitive. We’ve sucked for 12 years outside of 1 really good year.

People will doubt CU until CU shows it’s good. It happened 2 years ago. CU needs more consistency spanning years to not have articles like this.

There was a time that no matter how ****ty a team was, if they had any talent, they would beat us.

There is a lot better mental feeling being 4-0, because you believe you can win, rather than hope you can win. With what appears to be very good leadership on this team and good quarterbacking, we have a shot in every game, including Washington. This season is up to the lines, and I really like where the Defensive Line is heading. The offensive line is the question. If they figure out who can really play, no matter what class they are in, then we can run the ball, and Montez can tear anyone up. Fingers crossed, the O-line comes of age!!!
