Saw on the news this morning that the valedictorian from an Oklahoma HS was denied her diploma (and I believe failed to graduate) because she used the word "hell" in her graduating remarks.

Can't wait to spend a couple months in OKC for ATC training! Now I haven't been to Oklahoma since I was probably 6 and I can even remember that it was the ****test place I've ever been.

Totally justified.

I've been meaning to start a campaign to clean up the language on AllBuffs. This site too often falls short on family values standards.

To that end, we have promoted 96 as the new "Language Czar" for Allbuffs.
 
Same thing happened to my little brother in law last year in 4th grade. My in laws moved out to OKC and I gave him a Buffs jersey. They made him wear it inside out and if he wore it again he would be suspended.

In all fairness, her principal said all she needs to do is write an apology note and she'll get her diploma.

My son has worn Buff gear to school since kindergarten. First day of HS (well, 9th grade), he wore his black and gold Colorado t-shirt. Never, ever, had a problem with the teachers, admins, or any other school officials.

If they do ever give him trouble, you can start sending him in an OU t-shirt with "Fu(k" written above.
 
i graduated from Norman High, i thought OK was pretty fun. it's weird and churchy Baptist....but, heck.

i think the movie Tin Drum is still banned in OK because there's an oral sex scene. or something.
 
The state of Oklahoma sucks balls. The scenery sucks, the weather sucks, and their liquor laws suck.
