Thursday night games

Would not surprise me much if Louisville won this.

FSU is looking more and more like a one man team. Top 25 team with a QB propping them way up into the elites this year.
 
I didn't think you could fumble the ball forward for a TD? Guess you can. Isn't that an NFL rule though?
 
I don't like FSU and normally would want Louiseville to win.

This year though I want FSU to win it.

I want as many quality O or 1 loss teams as we can get outside of them SEC just to show the ridiculousness of making the playoffs and SEC party.

Florida State has not been as good this year as last, not even close but with Winston and the speed they still have on offense I think it would be hard to deny them a spot if they run the table.

If you take an undefeated FSU team and two SEC teams ahead of a one lose conference champ from another P5 conference then the questions start getting ask.
 
I don't think this game matters for FSU, other than taking away some wiggle room.

There's no way a one-loss FSU doesn't go in over other one-loss teams.
 
Based on years of observing the way college football works.

Do you really think the 'committee' would select 3 or 4 other 1-loss teams over a 1-loss defending national champion? From the South?

Going to have to agree. If anything they will have 3 SEC teams before a one loss FSU.

When they have to beat out other teams from the South... yes.
 
The influence of eS(EC)pn can't be overlooked. I don't trust the process in any way shape or form.

By the way looks like Louisville is in competition with Boise and some others for the ugly uniform contest, or they started halloween early.

Falling behind was probably the best thing that could have happened to them. They were being far too conservative on offense in the 2nd half. Then they had to open things up a bit.

Nah, even they couldn't justify an all-SEC tournament, and FSU will be the first other team up.

Look at it this way - say you end up with Bama winning the SEC at 12-1, Auburn there at 11-1, and Mississippi State at 11-1. Then you have Michigan State, Oregon, TCU, and FSU all with 1 loss as well.

The committee could take up to 3 SEC teams, and FSU is still going to be there over those other 3 teams.

Your scenario is not possible, but FSU is not leapfrogging many of those teams with their remaining schedule.
With one kinda quality win? Nope.
 
You're right - I just threw out random SEC West teams at 1 loss. I guess you couldn't have Auburn and Alabama both finishing with one loss.

Not sure why you think the committee couldn't just put FSU in. It's not like they're answerable to anyone.

Anyone who thinks speed isn't that important didn't see that last FSU td.

That was pure talent and speed.

What do they have to gain by ensuring FSU is in? Not much.
