Note- I TOTALLY screwed up the location of WHERE the championships are being held, so I've corrected the OP. They're at Texas A&M. (My feeble mind confused NCAA's with the recent U.S. Indoor National T&F Championships, which was the meet held in Albuquerque.)

Preview article IS now out. -

Dani Jones easily qualifies for the mile final with a controlled effort that nets her 3rd place in heat 1.

Looks like Zach Perrin just misses out qualifying for the men's mile final as he gets passed late for the last auto qualifying 4th place spot in heat 1, then heat 2 runs much faster, so he doesn't get one of the time qualifying spots.

Very nice 5K for senior Erin Clark, as she earns points at that distance for the 1st time at NCAA indoors with a 6th place finish.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas –University of Colorado senior Erin Clark picked up a sixth-place finish in the women's 5,000-meter run here Friday night to record her third career indoor All-America honor at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships.

WHAT HAPPENED- 5,000 Meters
Clark finished the race in 15 minutes, 56.97 seconds and led a duo of Buffs in the race as sophomore Makena Morley placed 16th. Clark is now an All-American in both the indoor and outdoor 5K as she earned outdoor honors in 2017.
...

"Erin did what we were hoping for by going off the form chart, and then race unfolded the way it did. It's probably a little bit better for her if the race is going fast the whole way. But, she still closed well for her and made the podium which is what we were hoping for."

Congrats to Dani Jones, who has evidently been dealing with an Achilles issue, for the great result in the mile at Indoors, and all the other Buff All-Americans!

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Colorado junior Dani Jones finished second in the women's mile here on the final day of the 2018 NCAA indoor Championships Saturday at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

WHAT HAPPENED – Dramatic Finish
Just like the 2017 indoor championships, Dani Jones finished her championship race with a dramatic flair. Jones finished second in the mile to New Hampshire's Elinor Purrier by .06 seconds, which is the closest margin of victory in the women's mile since 1991.

Jones got off to a steady and strong start staying in the top pack. She was in control the whole time, gradually moving up into third place to cruise until she found her moment to make moves. Jones has a strong kick and put it to use in the final lap as the pace quickened. When they reached the final turn, Purrier and Jones were neck-and-neck sprinting to the finish line where Purrier crossed in 4:31.76 while Jones finished in 4:31.82. Jones finished second earning first-team All-America honors.

"I was very very pleased with Dani's race tonight," head coach Mark Wetmore said. "Her preparation has been imperfect since about December, but good enough to get her here and good enough to put her in the hunt. Her natural courage and predatory instincts took over and she very nearly won the race. She out kicked a bunch of very good kickers and fell just a few hundredths short of the title. But coach Burroughs and I are totally thrilled with how she did today."
...

Out of 54 teams, the women finished tied for 20th overall with Mississippi State and Auburn with 11 total points.
