Tribute to Sam Foltz

While I hate Nebraska as much as anyone, the tribute to Foltz was heart wrenching. Regardless of the uniform, football is a brotherhood.

RIP and thoughts and prayers to his family and the huskers dealing with that loss.

@Buffskier I too think they did a good job with this. Also, the Fresno State guys did good with the tribute as well.

Lots of wet eyes there... You see, there are people that love kickers, and it isn't just their mothers.

I saw that the kicker at Wisconsin was going to ride with them but didn't for some reason (I don't know the details). He changed his number to 27 in honor of Foltz.

Fresno state are good people. They declined the penalty and wore SF stickers on their helmets in their honor. I'll never forget what they did after the game at Folsom was canceled after the floods. I heard that they offered to fill the charter plane with water and other recovery essentials since the flight had already been paid for so they may as well use it. I dont know if that was true but they did raise money.

... but yes, that's pretty low. I have to wonder if it's someone they know (or who at least knows them) and knew where they'd be on Saturday. Or maybe they just read the paper.
