i get that Oregon State is the PAC 12 early afternoon game.... But the fact that our USC game is also the early PAC 12 game means that we aren't a draw yet.

This sucks. We need to blow out USC.

Meanwhile, we get back to back primetime Chicago Bears games smh. Get it together networks.

Am I the only one who likes a few 12:30 kickoffs in Boulder?

I know it isn't ideal at some level for audiences, but a fall mid-day kick off at folsom field is a beautiful thing.

Don't mind at all. The early slot means having the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely post-game traffic thinner at some Boulder restaurant.

Big fan. Gives me time for a little post game in Boulder and a manageable drive home. I like the day games. I also love it when the sink does breakfast pizzas

These next two are more a product of our opponents than us-OSU is the worst team in the league, and USC is a reality show. ESPN grabs the ASU game.

No, 1-3 USC is not a big draw anymore. The whole nation saw them get their asses handed to them in week 1

As someone who lives in the East Coast, the early games are great. Anything to not have to watch the SEC and Big 10 games on BSPN which dominate the early time slots.

He'd be a good guest picker when they come.

He wouldn't be able to make a pick if he was calling the game, which would likely be the case unless Fox happened to pick it up. But the premier game of the week is usually on ABC/ESPN or CBS and it wouldn't be CBS since they carry the SEC game of the week.

Also can't believe the Washington-Stanford game isn't a Saturday prime time game. That is the game of the year in the conference and yes they get their own night but man, that could have been done better.

Would we throw roses on the field? Because of the Playoff, who goes to what bowl game gets tricky.

The Pac-12 #1 gets the bid for the Rose Bowl, however if that team goes to the Playoff, then the #2 gets the Rose Bowl. Is that #2, the 2nd team in the Pac-12 title game or is it overall Pac-12 record?

EDIT: NVMD, found it.

The two teams playing in the Rose Bowl will be the highest ranking teams, not selected for the playoffs, in the Big-10 and Pac-12. Rankings will be based of the final CFP ranking.

Interesting choice. Messes a bit with the team that loses the CCG as they could drop far enough to drop below a conference team that didn't play in the CCG.

IF the past few years are any indicator, seems like the selection committee tends to reward the winners of the CCG but not punish the losers. Obviously it varies year to year and it would depend how badly the losing team loses.
