Up to 7 NFL prospects on current Buffs Roster-CBS Sports

Former San Jose State head coach Mike MacIntyre takes over, inheriting a roster that, frankly, may possess less talent than the one he built with the Spartans, a Mountain West team that boasts star senior quarterback David Fales.

The cupboard isn't completely bare in Colorado, however. Embree started a youth movement during his time in Boulder and thus MacIntyre has the benefit of 17 starters returning, not the least of which is star wideout Paul Richardson, who missed all of last year with a torn ACL.

As you would guess I don't particularly agree that we have less talent than SJSU but..

This is the one area where I think Embree improved the team. He definitely pursued athletes and got them in the door and on the field. I think MM came into the best possible situation with our talent and youth as one could possibly hope for.

Yeah except that whole list was recruited by Hawkins.

Parker Orms? Has the guy even played a full season for CU.
Been injured off and on his whole career. But the kid can play when he stays healthy. But I would think an NFL team would be skeptical. I would assume even with a great year he wouldn't get drafted and have to work his way onto a team.

So we have 60% of an NFL offensive line. 1,000 yards for Powell should be no problem.

When Gus Handler is listed as your 3rd best prospect on a team, I'd say that indicates a talent problem. I guess others see it a little differently..

This.

And while I love Orms as a Buff, the fact he's mentioned as potentially being an NFL guy is quite a stretch IMO.

I'd say Uzo is the most likely candidate. To me Richardson is unproven...he had a career game against Cal, then a few poor games then injured. If you could sell potential, he'd be a millionaire, but potential and the amount in savings account will get you a bus ticket across town. The rest of them...who knows? Very unlikely 7 of our guys end up on an NFL roster...
