I just saw a link on the Rivals board to a UMass article confirming we did a 2-for-1 with them. They'll start in the MAC but could certainly end up in the Big East by the time we play them.
I also found future schedules that list San Jose State (2-for-1) and Minnesota for us. http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/big-12/colorado-buffaloes.php
We're also supposed to have another home game against Fresno State in some future year, making that series a 2-for-1.
The Pac-12 / Big Ten partnership is also targeted to begin in 2017 if they can make the contract work.
Finally, there have been 2 rumors floating around. One, that we're working on getting an SEC team on the schedule (mentioned on CJ's radio show). Two, that we're going to look to kick off our Big Ten series early by filling that 2015 open date with a Big Ten game since we have an extra slot from playing at Hawaii. We really need to get a 6th home date for that season, though.
The thing that really jumps out at me is that it becomes very difficult to keep the RMS in Denver and still get 6 dates at Folsom every year. If the Big Ten series happens and that is used to balance the home schedule against the 9-game Pac-12 schedule (so there are always 5 home/5 road locked in), I have no idea how we have a neutral game every year and still get 6 home games. The only way it works is if we schedule an FCS team every season.
Would everyone be cool with that if we knew every year our schedule would be 9 games against the Pac-12, 1 game against the Big Ten, 1 neutral site game against CSU, and 1 home game against a FCS team? That's the only way the RMS works for us. Are we prepared for CU have a schedule with such little diversity?
