The cubuffs.com roster has Connor Center at 6'8" 250lbs. I don't see how he stays at TE if he's already that big, but if he has any athletic ability and can catch a football he could be a huge (pun definitely intended) add to a depleted TE group.

Simple - he (and Clay Norgard) shrunk.

Nate played te at 275 I believe. Maybe 3 years from now we will see center on the line but 250 would be way light.

165 and 170 is probably o.k in the pac 12 but if they want to be in the NFL they are going to need to get to 185 w/out losing any speed.

It's definitely too light for OL now, but if he's that big before he starts his freshman year, I'm only imagining this kid can get to 3 bills no problem.

I completely agree. I have no idea wht this kid is built like other than from in his videos but I am sure he could add 50 pounds of good weight. I know that Nate was under 3% bmi when at te and ended up around 9% at tackle. Now that's a healthy playing weight. Most of the other linemen were around 20.

I am concerned about the reported weight of Josh Topou and Solis, too heavy.

Unofficial reports had both those big boys at 15-25 lbs heavier than that last winter. I even saw one report that had Topou at 345!

The real question is: are they in playing shape---or close to it---at their current listed weights?

Expect Solis and Tupou to shed some weight in camp. It's August, there's two a days.... Much more concerned with our DE's holding the edge and getting a pass rush.

I like 300 pound plus lineman. They just need to be in good condition to handle the spread and pistol that the Pac has to offer.

A little perspective, surprised to see such low weights, maybe part of the new conditioning program? Lose, then gain. Or do we have some Nickell Robeys or following the Stanford model. Hopefully some Trufants:).

Not sure where to put it...

MacIntyre has an evaluation routine that he says helps him find the right places for players.
All of his linebackers and most of his corners will have been high school running backs because he likes the agility. He makes sure tight ends and defensive ends are "tight bodies," at least 6-foot-4. He learned that from Bill Parcells

We have guys like Severson, Lindsay, and Moeller who fit the roll of being dual players. I wonder how the model is looking for this upcoming recruiting class though. Gamboa, Watanabe, and Brown seem fairly solidified in their spots on defense, not sure any of them play rb.

He seems to be good at it, and he couldn't have a better teacher.

Reminds me of that guy from Windsor that went to Ohio State and now at CSU.

Isn't Detroit Country Day where CJ went to school?
