Utah opens new Football Facility

Utah's new 152,000 square foot Football Facility is now open.

32 million bucks might only be middle of the (rich) PAC nice, but it's a huge step for the Utes.

I agree, what a waste of space. Overall I thought it was a little plain but I was impressed, the meeting/film room looks particularly nice. There has to be diminishing returns on all these upgrades everywhere, right? I mean, at some point, everyone is going to have all the facilities. Is Alabama just going to start knocking down a seven year old facility for a new one?

Seriously WTF has the AD been doing the last 15 years? The only improvements in that time frame has been the bubble, a new locker room, new video boards, and random crap like new weight room floor/practice turf etc....

A shame it had to be the 15 years when the arms race took off all over the nation. In that time frame the university here expanded the football stadium by 17k + luxury suites, built an indoor practice facility, built a state of the art basketball arena that seats over 15k, gutted the baseball stadium and made it one of the largest and nicest in the country, created state of the art tennis facilities, and re-did all of the track and field area to make it look outstanding. And we're not talking a program rich off BCS bowl success and a T. Boone or a Phil Knight. We're talking a program that's the definition of mediocrity in both major sports over these past 15 years.
