Jordan Seaton and Cash Cleveland playing early is a big selling point for Michael Carroll. Potentially playing with guys you already did before is a plus if you are on the offense line where success comes from familiarity and growing together as an unit.

Familiarity, but also definitive proof that Carroll can compete from day 1. There are plenty of programs that don't want to start freshmen at key spots, but you can't make that argument about CU.

Prime is not leaving, but I expect seriously to see RG up his contract to about $10MIL per year for the next 3 years + some sweeteners

I saw the top 10 list of HC salaries earlier this week. My immediate thought, with all the revenue CP is bringing to Boulder, I would not be surprised to see him get $14M-$15M either this offseason or next.

I think it would be symbolic and a slap in the face to the all the White coaches in the P2 that have cut their teeth, would love to see that happen just to see the rats scramble to re-negotiate

Yeah I think they make him the highest paid coach in the sport but as Rick George said today, that’s something that will be broached after the season (even though there have been conversations between the two of them already).

Nothing lasts forever. Whether it’s next year or in 10, enjoy the ride. Savor watching this team play, soak it in, and don’t stress about the future.

I agree that you should be but you’re not.

If he really is bringing in that kind of money to Colorado. You give him a Top 5 HC contract, or you do something incredible like give him a lifetime contract... my one caution is that he had 2 ready-made college superstars he brough with to CU. You have to give him all the credit in the world for developing Sanders and signing Hunter and absolutely revitalizing the state of Colorado. With that said he hasn't coached at this level without those 2 guys, and I do think that next year's roster will need more improvements to overcome their loss.

Next year Possibility: He signs JuJu who proves to be just about as good as Sanders, He lands a Top 30 Recruiting class that includes 1 other Blue Chip starter and the OL gets even better next year. Transfer Portal provides a 1st Rd grade WR for JuJu and we are off competing for a Big 12 title again.... and that is in my opinion a possible reality.

Final Conclusion. I am absolutely happy paying CP even if we have a couple 5-7 to 8-4 seasons as he continues to build up the depth of the overall roster. I just don't want people upset when he is making Top 5 money and we aren't competing for a Big 12 title next year. But there is a reality where I think that could happen with the right recruits and portal guys. The OL is going to be even better next year and the DL should be just as good.
