Viska to have surgery and miss spring ball

If there is one guy on this team that can afford to sit out the Spring, it’s Laviska Shenault.
While that's true, there will likely be a lot of moving parts this off season that will put him at a slight disadvantage. He'll have some catching up to do, which I'm sure he'll overcome, but he won't be hitting the ground running come fall back.

I'm thinking he will figure it out.

Only thing that is worrisome is if he lifts weights in an unbalanced way and when he is cleared to play, he has created an imbalance in his leg or core muscles that causes another injury, like knee or hamstring, or quad. He is a gym rat warrior and will continue to lift, and if he is not able to lift on a certain set of muscles, he can overload or over strengthen others. Seen it happen a lot. New or current strength coaches need to keep an eye on him to make sure. I know we are very good at that, but young guys sometimes do things on their own.

Yeah, we should probably think about replacing Dr. Nick as team physician.

I hear good things about Hollywood Upstairs Medical College. They recently corrected their textbooks regarding the definition of "inflammable" and their anatomy labs are no longer set to music.

glad we'll have the guy back in the fall. he's a player. i can't wait to see who santa brings us as offensive coordinator. kd, viska, and montez are a good start. now, about rb and ol...
