I know we have no say, but we can play AD for fun. If you were George and HCMM would you try to reschedule Fresno during the season, after the core of the season OR let it go?

I kind of like the idea of us playing Cal this weekend coming up if for no other reason, because I am Jonesin to see us play again. But I think the ideal scenario would be after the core of the season (between the 7th and 14th of Dec.) I realize there are some issues including Fresno's post-season schedule, but the cool thing is we could treat it like a bowl game.

We would get extra practices in after the season and given the crushing they gave us last year, there would be plenty of incentive on our part to show up big in that game-which could have a national audience. Also our chances of beating Fresno State at home in Boulder in December, between the weather and our (hopeful) season's worth of improvements go up.

Ideally, they can figure out a way to get it in during the season. That's pretty unlikely, though. Lots of moving parts.

There would only really be one moving part, and that's for the UNLV game against Fresno State to be moved from Oct 19 to mid November, a shared bye week for both teams. Colorado then has a bye week on Oct 19, and should then be able to play the game with Fresno State.

UNLV has a game 5 days later, so that would need to be pushed back as well. There are lots of moving parts.

If some sort of exemption is possible to be in a bowl at 5-6 due to the circumstances if it cannot be rescheduled then **** no I don't want to play it.

This is my actual preference:
Try to schedule to cheeseball team (FBS) to come in here and get stomped so we can pad our record. We're at a crucial juncture in our resurgence. We don't need to "prove" anything by playing Fresno State and Derrick Carr. What we need is a win. And a bowl game. There are some winnable Pac-12 games this year.
Temple is open on Sep 21st.
Idaho/UT San Antonio/Florida International/UT El Paso are open 19 Oct. have the NCAA give them a 13 game waiver. No shuffling required. No Carr required.

Agree

There are three things that I sincerely doubt: 1) we'll get a creampuff to come in here, 2) we'll get more than 3 wins in the 9 games remaining, and 3) we'll get a waiver to play in a bowl at 5-6.

With those things in mind, my preference is that we could reschedule the game to 12/14. That would allow a much longer time to practice regardless and the possibility of a bowl game if we come in at 5-6. What would be essentially a full season under MM should make CU an even more difficult opponent for FSU, as well.

Having said that, I have a hard time believing that FSU would want to schedule a game after the MWC CCG, a game I think we all fully expect them to be in.

Where is the button that says, "I vote that we play them and beat the ever lovin **** out of them?" I vote for that.

I don't care who we schedule or when, as long as it's played this season. Don't want to miss playing a game, which is possible.

Another FBS team won't help us since you can only use one win against them to count towards your 6 win total.

FBS - D 1A
FCS - D 1AA

Idaho and UTEP are FBS (I don't know about UTSA) Central Ark was FCS.

This confusion wouldn't exist if they just kept it the way it was.

Why the hell did they change it anyway?

Saw this on Rivals and would love it:

1) Reschedule FSU for a future season.
2) Play SDSU on Oct 19th. They have a bye & can play 13 due to their Hawaii game.
3) Schedule an away game in San Diego in the future for a 1-1.

I like this a lot. I hope it's under consideration.

I'll be pissed if this happens though (for a selfish reason). When in Las Vegas I bet on the over for CU total wins (3). However, from what I found online, it looks like all games must be played for it to count. Since the Fresno State game was on the schedule when the bet was placed, I'm guessing it will be a "no bet," instead of my probable win. All they need is one more win for a push, and two more for a win.

Haven't seen this option but it sounds like a decent one if SDSU is game for it. i got the impression from the DC article that George is hell bent on making the Fresno game happen this year. My guess is they will exhaust all options to reschedule the Fresno game with the help of conference commissioners. If they fail this option seems like a good one.

I like this option a lot ... much more than trying to juggle schedules to squeeze in FSU and way much more than playing in December.

I don't care - just want to watch my BUFFS play some football, win or lose. Would like to play fresno just to see where we are at. Wait till Dec. like a bowl game extra practice's, that would be nice. Or, pad some stats by playing a chump team... All or none sound good.

Just get us some football ! waited all summer, team looks good, and now down time again for 2 weeks : (
