Wahington State is VERY BAD!

I know we are down right terrible, and I am in no way saying we will win this game saturday. However, do not underestimate how terrible wazoo is. My basis for this is rooted in comparative scores which don't mean ****, but it's all we have to go on at this point. See following scores:

Utah 24 - BYU 21
BYU 45 - Weber 13
Fresno 37 - Weber 10
Conclusion: BYU, Utah and Fresno are similar quality teams (middle of the pack FBS teams that will make a bowl)

BYU 30 - Wash St 6
Utah 41 - Greeley 0
Sac St 28 - Greeley 17
Fresno 69 - Colorado 14
Conclusion: Washington State is in the same terrible class of teams with the likes of Sacramento St and Colorado (teams that get blown out by middle of the pack FBS bowl teams.)

Close games with Eastern Washington and UNLV should further this point.

Basically by looking at their results I would say they are a heck of a lot closer to CSU, Sac St, UNLV, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Eastern Washington, Weber State and Colorado than they are to BYU, Fresno or Utah.

But then just to prove that this should not be taken seriously in 2011 CU > Arizona > Arizona St > USC > Oregon > Stanford

Couple of things they have going for them: Mike Leach, Home Field, Marquess Wilson, not having the worst team in their entire history. CU will be destroyed.

Nice class of teams we're hanging with these days....

You all are operating solely on the basis of how bad we are without considering how bad they are. WSU 28 - Colorado 20.

there is bad and then there is total ****ing disarray.

we're not bad. we're glassy nuclear fused concrete at ground zero after a nuke strike annihilated.

we look up to bad. we aspire to be bad. fresno state's 3rd string laughs at us.

washington state is going to look like the ****ing 85 bears playing the last place pop warner team from poughkeepsie on saturday.

If the game was at home, I would somewhat agree. Outside of a fluke win in Utah, we are awful on the road.

I pulled up the Wash State-UNLV replay and Wash State was on-fire in First Half. Their 2nd String benchwarmer QB had good and bad plays, and his receivers did more to save his stats than he did. But they DID do that.

It was 28-20 Wash State at halftime, and the third quarter was scoreless. Wash State scored a TD early in the 4th (35-20) and held UNLV muzzled until the 1:44 remaining when their long drive finally resulted in the game's final TD.

Then the closeness set in.. Wash State was 3-and-out in 1 minute, and punted, giving UNLV the ball back with 40-odd seconds to go. And Wash State went into Prevent, and UNLV's bad QB could only barely cross midfield as time ran out.

The end of the game was close. Most of it wasn't, though.

The Cougar 2nd stringer looked way better than he should have, but that's Leach's system, and there are some good wide-outs who know how to go after the ball. UNLV's used to unconventional offenses in their league, so for a bad team, they did prett well.

CU Football's done well against Leach - winning 3 of 4 games, always with a stout D. (I think the only loss was something like 28-24, too.) So our solid offense and stout defense has stopped Leach before.

That is funny. Nice work.

There is not a team on your list that we could beat. UNC-Greeley would put up 49 on our team. We would maybe score 24.

Just wanted to say we feel your pain as no one was worse in football than us in 2008 and 2009, it flat out sucks.

Also "The Cougar 2nd stringer looked way better than he should have"

Halliday is a very, very good QB. I have watched in since HS and he has the arm to do it all. He was one of the top 25 QB's in the 2010 class thank goodness he stayed at home as he is from Spokane. He broke every passing record there held for the last 30 years by Mark Rypen. He might have beaten out Tuel if he had not been hurt so badly against Utah. You guys know this story right?

If not, here are the quick notes. When Wulff's job was on the line last season in the ASU game as they need to win out for a bowl. After the 2nd series he pulled the Senior QB who repalced Tuel in the 1st game when he got hurt, due to his poor performance at Cal the week prior. He was a good kid, but not a PAC 12 QB. Halliday came in only playing about 10 plays in mop up duty earlier in the year against Idaho State and UNLV. He proceed to toss an 80 TD to Wilson on his first pass and threw for the all time PAC 10/12 freshman game record with 494 yards 4 TDs and no picks, it was unreal to watch. The next week WSU played Utah again needing to win for bowl hopes. He was sacked early in the 2nd quarter and it turned out that hit gave him a 7 inch laceration on his liver(that is a car accident injury). He played the whole game with it, tossed for another 300 yards 2 more TD's and when we lost in OT by a FG he bascially passed out on the sideline and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery and missed all of spring ball.

WSU pretty close to turning it on offensively. They are very, very young as they play or start at least 8-10 true freshman on both sides of the ball. The kids that Leach recuited in 5 weeks, just dumped on those Wulff had as most of the class was asked to look elswhere as he only kept about 8 of the 23 kids commited.

Watch for true frosh #84 Gabe Marks, that kid is more advanced than Wilson was a frosh, just beyond talented.

WSU might be better than people think as these kids need to learn how to win and step on folks throats as the same thing happened against Eastern. We had 2 TDs called back due to penalties, fumbled on the 1 and were picked on the 5 going in. Left like 30 points on the table, so maddening. BYU was a tough game for this team to open with due to the youth and amount of first time starters on the team and they just imploded after a few things went bad.

True. And Mike Leach loves to cover the spread. Did you see what he did last week against UNLV? This dude knows the line and he will do whatever it takes to cover it.

The good news is that WSU played last Friday, so they had an extra day to rest/prepare. So WSU might have a shot after all.

Or maybe that extra day will lead to such horrid atrophy that they cramp up and fall over? Well... might as well hope for it. I think "them not showing up" is one of the best chances for Embree & Co to make a good impression. I'm still not sure how long it'd take to score a TD.

I'm going with 52-17 (maybe 24 if we get a late TD) for Wazzu to cover the spread. With that being said and my betting luck, CU will probably win...ha!

Alright Buffs. Just had a showdown on the highway with some douche with 3 Wazzu stickers on his car. If my 4Runner can outdo whatever the **** rice burner he was driving, then the Buffs can win in Pullman. Game on.
