Was it more fun?

Always BUFF

I post stupid ****
Before the net when we only had memories of the team the year before and the underclassmen and we speculated how good the next team would be.
92/93 Rashaan ripped off a good one against Okie state at Folsom......my first thought was that kids going to be good and he played 8 man.

We bought numerous preseason magazines that barely knew the names of the team much less any of the players. It was a very different time for sure.

in many ways and many situations, being ignorant is more fun than having information. there's a downside as well.

The pro preseason mags were how we did research for drafting our fantasy football team in the fall. Those mags were put out late spring for the upcoming year. I forget who it was but one year I drafted a player who had died in a plane crash earlier that year. My buddies still give me **** about that 30 years later.

I think so. The major downside, if you didn’t live in your team’s area, you probably were NOT (edit) going to be able to see them on TV or even see highlights. Growing up Davis, CA, I saw a CRAAAP ton Cal Berkeley and USC games.

Guess what we saw in Florida. UM, FSU, UF, ND, Alabama, Penn St (Independent back then) Big10, Big8 in that order
