simple yes or no. I'd like to see how people feel.

Keeping results anonymous. I'm not going to vote for a bit.

Yes.

My definition of a blowout is a 3-score spread.

Technically a blowout.

To me a blowout is a game where the result is decided by the start of the fourth quarter. This game was far from that.

Most football fans will just see the score, they didn't necessarily see the game. The score looks like a blowout.

This is why I'm conflicted. I don't think it was a blowout. Although they did run away with it at the end. They just had better horses at the end.

But all of my friends that didn't go will see a 17 point loss and won't check the box score. When I usually see a 3 score differential I think blowout especially when it's a home team that loses by 17+.

There is also the angle some may have in that UO didn't score 60+ so it's not a blowout either.

I watched it, it was closer than the score. Oregon's been doing that to teams for years, they wear you down and then pile on points late. Be glad you got them early. They will get the quarterback situation worked out and they will challenge for the North.

I voted blowout just due to the score. Was the team in the game in the 4th and it did not feel like a blowout but the score is a blowout.

Blowout more due to one team controlling the second half and imposing their will on the other team. Oregon controlled both lines of scrimmage in the second half. The score may have been close at times, but we never really challenged for a victory IMO.

This is the argument that persuaded me personally. I was very optimistic and hoping for something after the botched 4th down call by Oregon. But they were running east and west on us at will. That even opened up some very long north south runs too.

On offenses I remember one DL blew passed his guy to get a nasty TFL nearly when the ball was handed off. Missed assignment, but that DL had speed.

Was out today and wearing my CU hoodie. Someone asked if we won last night and I said no. He asked if it was bad, and I said "no, only 17 points". Then I realized how stupid that sounded. Yeah, it was a one possession game at one point in the fourth but it didn't finish that way. It was a blowout.

If you aren't a CU or Oregon fan and you saw the score scroll across the screen at any point before about 7 min left, you'd be like "holy ****, I'm turning that on to watch". That's not a blow out. With the way offenses roll these days, if any team is within 30 in the 4th, I'm thinking they have a chance and I'm tuning in.

To out things in perspective;
E Wash scored 42 points and had 500 total yards
G State had 28 points and 431 yards
Buffs had 24 points, 308 yards
Not a blowout, but nothing to proud of

TCU's 50-7 over uterus was a blowout.

Oregon squarely kicked CU's ass.

Semantics

No way in hell that was a blowout if you watched the whole game. Yes they won comfortably but no they didn't pour it on.

No.

To me, a blowout not only involves a large point spread (arbitrarily, a 20+ point differential) but a sense during the course of the game that the losing team really has no chance to catch up or win - ala past games vs Oregon, the Fresneck State game a few years ago, and others regrettably too numerous to list. Skiddy has it right IMO - Tcu blew out the donghorns. Oregon beat up the Buffs, but I wouldn't call it a "blowout".

Listening to the AM sports shows, they seem to think of it as a blow out. Mike evans got on them a bit saying hanging tough doesn't count for much anymore.

Wow.

Hanging tough doesn't count for anything other than warm fuzzies. Doesn't mean it was a blowout though.

What is the point of this? We lost a game we should have won, who cares about the semantics?

Not a blowout...IMO a blowout means the game is over early in the 3rd quarter...like our games against UMass and Nicholls.

Good for Mike he is speaking the truth. Our coach has been around long enough and has enough of "his kids" on the roster.

Yes, I was at the game, did you watch it?

Yeah I was there, how can you say we "should" have won a game against at team that went over 300 yards rushing? Oregon got blown out by Utah but that is probably not a good indication of who they really are. They still have talent and if you really want to see how much go look at their recruiting rankings the last couple years.

No, what Utah did to Oregon was a blowout. What happened here was much worse. Another one score game in the 4th that we found ways to lose. We were told that wouldn't happen again.
