So I have been watching Football on Fubo, one of the cord-cutting services that can included a PAC-12 Networks subscription. Since it has been a topic of discussion, thought it might be worthwhile to do a viewing experience review. I have watched football on my phone (at the tailgate before the game), on my iPad (in my back yard) on on my large flatscreen in my man cave.
For the phone and iPad, the quality seems equal to the experience I had when I had Comcast/Xfinity. On the big screen, it seems a little pixelated, but much better than football used to be in SD. One cool feature, watching on my Apple TV, is the ability to have four games on my TV at once on multivierw. Currently I am watching Mich-UW, Miami/AP State, Texas/Ark, and Rice/Houston. I like this a lot better than flipping from channel to channel, and I just move the channel from one to the other in order to get the game sound. I really like being able to have four games on at the same time, as I don’t have to wonder what is going on in the other games or have ESPN on my iPad to keep track. I don’t know that I would do the multi-screen with a CU game on, but just to watch football it is great.
I have not tried Youtube TV, so I can’t compare, but if you are looking for a football code-cutting option where you get the PAC-12 network, and you have an Apple TV, I think that it is a great experience.
