Sucks to say but mac2 had to win this game, shows is why we shouldn't play csu this time of year, and that this staff as comprised is not working.

I think MikMac losing all that weight got him too comfortable with losing.

Actually, I agree, we are furked. Sparkles pantsed Mik Mac.

Yup. Sorry but I don't buy this as "just another loss". This was a game that had to be won. Two steps backward, because let's face it, we'll be lucky to win 3 games. 2 is the safe bet. Neinas and Jeffcoat simply aren't getting it done. Lindgren was horrendous tonight, but I'll wait and see on him, I guess. We got manhandled by a middle of the road MWC squad. We lack talent, we aren't having a talent influx on the horizon, and even worse we're still soft. Forget returning to the glory days, how do we even get back to being a 6 win team who isn't the laughingstock of college football?

Tougher team won. That's usually how football works. CSU owned the line of scrimmage and worked the Buffs over. Team is soft.

Liufau's delivery is WAY too slow.
cant stop the run.
without p rich, sefo is proving why he only had one scholarship offer.

We lost the first game of the season to Fresno St in 2001...

Just sayin'

Obvious troll is obvious.

That Fresno team went on to have a killer season. CSU will be an average MWC team.

Kinda different. That team (FSU) was awesome and we had a chance to win that game. We had 100% zero chance tonight.

Rep this guy for attempting to pump sunshine. We had a chance to win that game, and CSU is and always will be a game that we need to win. We coached defeat from the jaws of victory.

After loss meltdown. Gotta love it.

O was inconsistent but I like the pieces. Obviously young and need to wake up to what the coaches are teaching them.

D was a disaster in the front 7. Form tackling and gap discipline was not there. Not sure if coaching or talent issue. Either way it needs fixed asap.

4 win season still in reach. Gonna need to do some soul searching though.

Tough night in a student section that couldn't have cared less about being there.

Exhausted, but at least football is back. See how I feel about the game and the team tomorrow.

this isn't the same as a loss to ASU or UCLA. I hope tomorrow you realize the magnitude. It's obvious we have multiple incapable assistants and even worse, we're soft. We got rocked by one of the few opponents that has equal or even lesser talent (although CSU's RBs are 10x what we have).

A little sunshine, a little sarcasm. Just trying to keep it real. It is also 8pm vs after midnight over there, and I think I'm a bit less drunk than everyone (just a bit)

Nah, not in trouble. This is just what CU football is, now. This is "normal". Not a very good football program. Like Kansas football of recent years, like Iowa State football for many years, like Kansas State football for many years - hell, like CU football for many years - this simply is not a good football program.

D-line was mostly on skates. rams did a good job of adjusting game plan when they realized they could. Hart played out of his mind. looked like the kid who used to wreck it for DPHS. d-line is a glaring weakness.

Yeah... there's no way to sugar coat it, that game was an absolute embarrassment. Losing to a MWC opponent that lost a ton of the talent that barely won them a bowl game in 2013 is a punch in the gut. They absolutely shredded our defense in the 4th quarter. We were weak up front on both sides and while the defense was getting run all over, the offense couldn't close the gap. We should have beaten CSU by 50 points, now we can pretty much kiss our dreams of a bowl game this season goodbye. It'll be a struggle for survival from here on out and hopefully we can keep up recruiting.

Let's face it. MM is a WAC coach that can only recruit WAC talent who got beat by an average MWC team. Most of the time, midmajor coaches making the jump to Big time football fail. A few continue to succeed at this level but it doesn't appear Mac will. Our 2 & 3 stars will just be outmatched in Pac12 football. Sad to say but Mac is another Dan Hawkins. MM is a nice guy but we need a previous OC or DC from powerhouse or a HC with former successful coach looking to get back into it. We've tried the smaller school coach route twice now and failed. NFL asset didn't work any better. What are your thoughts?

Holy Crap. A decade of this kind of weak and passive leadership leads to weak, confused and self-pitying performances by an undersized, slow and pitiful group of middle of the road, Big Sky level football players. I don't think there is one of those guys who would have cracked the two-deep in 94. They say football doesn't build character, it exposes it. These overmanned, undersized and poorly coached Buffaloes just got exposed. I always hear the excuse that we are young and inexperience. Bull****. We' been young and inexperienced for 13 years.

Can't call this a positive, but if there's something to take away from this is that it'll be a come to jesus moment for this staff.

They had some bad games last year, but they won the games they were supposed to. The blowouts could just be chalked up to just not being there yet.

But last night the staff and the team got kicked in the junk, and they need to stop back slapping each other about the "process" and think about whether what they're doing is working.

As far as the defense(front 7), I don't think they're as bad as they played. Still not good, but not that bad. They looked like they were thinking way too much. Like they were checking to make sure they were in the right gap before realizing that they should just tackle the guy with the ball. Whatever they're teaching the d-line, they need to stop it. The whole knowledge=playing fast mantra was not in effect last night.

Man what a miserable epoch of CU we are living through. I hope they are a good team by the time my kids go to CU.

we are a very slow, soft, stupid team. cant wait to see our "d" against pac 12 teams... other than 44 we dont have many guys that can play....does any other team in the country throw more sideways passes than cu?

We got worked on the LOS last night. CSU was just a tougher, mentally prepared team than the Buffs. The better team did win and you could see the change happening in the late second quarter. Hate to say it, but we looked beat by the late third quarter.

Really down right now to see this Buffs team perform like that. This one is on the staff and MM. We were so soft last night and this could get very ugly this season I was wrong. We may be lucky to win 3 games

It's not going to get better folks. This staff recruit and their coaching is questionable. I'm not saying fire MM but can't expect much from this WAC staff.
