Their home white unis do say "COLORADO" on the front of the jersey. The road blacks, shown in the ESPN shot of Chucky, for some reason don't. The picture is attributed to Cal Sports Media and the background kinda looks like the Stanford band. This was clearly a shot from last season. But the road unis are the same this year.

USA Today isn't up yet but we're only at 25th in the AP. Louisville slipped to 14th. I'd figured we would get a little higher but I can't really complain too much. Congrats ladies!

Maybe the womens AP writers believe more in the home court advantage more than the mens voters. It was homecourt advantage for the women.

Had to jump a bunch of teams to get to #25. I think that's fair.
It's going to be tough to maintain a ranking the way the conference schedule starts for us, though. 5 of our fist 9 games are against Furd, Cal & UCLA plus 2 against 8-1 Utah. The final 9 are a much easier slate.

I will predict one win the first weekend of Pac 12 play--they will beat either Stanford or Cal at home. Ceal seemed to know how to beat Tara at very opportune times beginning in the NCAA tournament in Missoula in 1993 when they were the defending national champion. Knocked them off so we could get killed by eventual champion Texas Tech, but it taught the team they could compete at that level.
Chucky has gotten a lot of recognition today.

Lots of Chucky love today. She's not only espnW player of the week, she's the Pac-12 player of the week as well.
CU indeed has a very tough beginning to the conference schedule with Stanford, Cal and Utah at home followed by Utah on the road. All of this in less than a week.

At this point I don't really think where CU is ranked matters. If they can get off to a 3-1 start in conference play they'll be in good shape in terms of making the NCAA tourney.

That just seems nuts to me. Once again proves that the coaches have no business voting. They don't pay attention to other teams unless those teams are on their schedule. You can't make an argument that a 9-0 team with a win against a Top 10 Louisville team and quality wins vs SDSU and @ Illinois isn't a Top 25 team.
Agreed. At this point in her career, Lappe doesn't have a lot of respect. She will. Give her more time and CU will be respected.
