Good news! The Athletic still recognizes CU as having an actual football program. Sure, they have us ranked at #92 beneath literally every other p5 school including Duke and Vandy, but I say at least we’re ranked at all on this thing.

Somebody get me a beer and get KD an extension for this roving masterclass on everything we’re all bearing witness to.

Wow. Utah's #5.

Athlon has us up at 92 just behind coach Sparle's Central Michigan. Ahead of both Vandy and Kansas.

CBS at 98.

ESPN's FPI is drinking the Kool Aid. They've got us at 86!

Lindy's Magazine has CU at 83, behind UTSA (60), Toledo (62), Rutgers (74), Miami-Ohio (76), UAB (77), Illinois (78), and Western Kentucky (79). Etc, etc.....

Plenty of Room For Improvement ! (Note: Even back when I was in grade school, sometimes the teachers didn't want to shade the highly underperforming kids and make matters worse so instead of Ds or Fs the report card note after a given subject was "Room for Improvement"...)

In 2016 most experts had CU in the 70's-80's in the preseason rankings.

Toledo has us head to head, give the Rockets that.

i think that was the game week after Dan said to reporters that the reason his teams tackled so good was because they didn't practice tackling.

unreal.

Feeling Season 9 GIF by Curb Your Enthusiasm

I've been interested in tracking this week-to-week, just in The Athletic though. Thus far:

Week 1: 93
Week 2: 106
Week 3: 118
Week 4: 126

Lambs come in this week at the coveted 131 spot, but IMO they've got a much better chance of winning a game this season than the Buffs do. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up in the 131 spot by year's end, and potentially go down as one of the worst (THE worst?) teams in modern FBS history.
