This is termination without cause type of conduct here. ZERO excuse for that type of comment and not investigating the claims of either woman.

Is anybody else imagining hearing that quote in Ed Orgeron's voice?

I did not type out and then delete a post this morning that questioned the validity of the quote given that it didn't end with "Go Tigaws"

I'm not going to presume anything. That would be unfair to the accusers and the accused.

What really pisses me off about stuff like this is that it wasn't even investigated. At too many places (even high schools), the head football coach has so much power that he's allowed to handle these sorts of things as internal matters while his alleged bosses as well as law enforcement run interference to protect the program instead of doing their job.

According to the thread, one of the women told her tennis coach and the Tennis coach told her Father that she “didn’t believe her”. The diving coach was also told and did nothing. It’s another institutional failure from people in a position of power. College athletics are truly despicable.

This is why I have no problem ripping on certain schools. They have shown that winning matters more than the despicable actions of those they bring in to win.

Worse is that the fans continue to make excuses, deny, and/or justify the actions as long as they get to win.

And yes a big part of it is when the atheltic director or the football coach is able to tell the president of the university how things will be handled.

Unfortunately the list of those schools seems to just keep getting longer.
