On ESPNU Chaminade is leading Baylor 39-33 with 6 minutes left in the first half...Chaminade has a guy with 26 points who is shooting unconscious from downtown....

Halftime in Maui and Baylor leads 50-47 in a highly entertaining game...Chaminade's Christophe Varidel (transfer from FGCU Dunk City) has 31 points at the half...

There's not a chance in hell that ASU is worse than Stanford. ASU is more like 4-5 in the Pac, IMO.

Arizona State is carried by Carson and Bachynski. They're a lot like that 2010-2011 CU team with less depth.
Outside of their starting 5 they aren't athletic at all. Their forwards like Gilling wouldn't even see playing time at CU.

They're a solid team that will finish better than 7th and if they don't make the Dance, they will come quite close to doing so. A team carried by a couple players is not necessarily a bad thing.

This is a big year for Archie Miller at Dayton. It's his third year, they went 20-13 (9-7) with an NIT appearance his first year, but last year we beat them and thought it would be a pretty solid win and Dayton went 17-14 (7-9) and didn't sniff the postseason. The A-10 isn't as tough this year as last year, no reason Dayton shouldn't have a fairly successful season.

Dayton uses 56 second half points to come back to defeat #11 Gonzaga 84-79 in Maui. Big win for the Flyers who will face #18 Baylor tomorrow
I hate gonzaga so much and I still can't figure out why.

Always over-rated with a very weak SOS, tons of foreign players, fans overly self-righteous....sorta like the Fuskers of college basketball.....reason enough!
I have a really hard time wanting any success for ASU and Bailer, even at the expense of our RPI.

Arkansas beats Minnesota 87-73 in Maui. Either Cal's win over Arkansas is going to look pretty good, or else Minnesota was suffering a major let down after a close loss to Syracuse yesterday. It's probably a little of both, Arkansas is a little better than expected but Minnesota was probably also just not mentally checked in.
Grant having a big game for Cuse and now Kravish has 4 fouls. Cuse up 10 at the under 8 TO.
Kravish gets two more fouls to four and 3 minutes later Cal is down 10. only 7 minutes left and he's back. Cuse taking advantage of the young bear's inexperience.
Kravish fouls out on a 50/50 ball. both teams in the bonus. 6 point lead fro cuse. 3 mins left. let the free throw shooting contest begin!
