UConn just beat Florida in one hell of a good game.

Napier is nails.

Vandy is at Texas right now.

These teams are the answer to the question, "Which 2 programs most severely underperformed their talent last season?".

ACC doing some work to change perception on whether they or the B1G is a better conference this year:

Syracuse beat Indiana
Georgia Tech beat Illinois
Pittsburgh beat Penn State
Duke beat Michigan
Notre Dame lost to Iowa
Florida State lost to Minnesota

4-2 ACC over the B1G tonight.

Looking forward to tomorrow's games:

Maryland at Ohio State
Wisconsin at Virginia
Northwestern at NC State
North Carolina at Michigan State
Boston College at Purdue
Miami at Nebraska

I'll be at Virginia/Wisconsin tomorrow. The Hoos won in Madison last year and they're far, far better this year. Deep and talented. This is one of Wisconsin's best teams as well. Should be a battle. Tuesday night games are more in favor of the B1G IMO, but they've got a hole to dig out of.

Does Duke EVER play on the road in this? Duke also gets a favorable match up seemingly every year. It's supposed to be based on relative equality, but Duke mysteriously avoids the top B1G team without fail. As of right now, Michigan is the 4th team in the B1G and will be falling behind Iowa and out of the top 25 in the next poll.

They paired Virginia and Wisconsin?!? Jesus hell, did they have an intense desire to see if they could have someone win with a score in the 20s?

Barnburner. 296 in tempo vs 328. That said, it should be one hell of a game.

It's a style that's not for everyone but as a basketball junkie I can appreciate it. Virginia has some incredible athletes, and while not I'm overly familiar with Wisconsin they did put up 103 once this year. I expect a low scoring affair but I wouldn't be shocked if it was higher scored than expected. Really wish Virginia had gotten McConnell (Arizona PG who transferred from Duquesne and was considering UVA and Zona) but true freshman PG London Perrantes from Cali is doing a solid job and has a very bright future. Not sure how he slipped out of Pac country being a highly ranked PG yet didn't receive offers from the top notch Pac programs.

I'm a basketball junkie, but I find games with a winning score below 60 very hard to enjoy. I have to be a fan of the team to be able to get into it (i.e., CU's Pac-12 Championship win over Zona by a score of 53-51).

Virginia looks horrible. This is what happens when you fatten up on sacrificial lambs early on in the NC. Your efficiency ratings get way out of whack with reality. This is the pattern Wisconsin (my Alma Mater) usually follows. If UW could shoot a lick they'd have the walk on's in right now. UVA can't rebound in traffic and they can't defend the perimeter either. They just hang out between 8 and 20 feet and hope WI decides to shoot mid-range shots. Wisconsin isn't as good as their record indicates. They've played one top team, Florida, but UF had three starters out suspended and two other guys well below 100% recovering from injuries.

Virginia plays Green Bay on the road next? I'll take UWGB straight up.

What about the winning team not reaching 50?

48-38 is a halftime score. This is where I hate the point differential stat, too. Considering pace, that UVA-WIS score needs to be looked at like a 15-20 point loss in a normal game.

Virginia is nowhere close to as bad as they looked tonight. Just one of those nights, you know , like Wisconsin had when UVA won in Madison last year. And their OOC hasn't been that weak. They'll win at Green Bay.

They made 1 shot from outside the paint

I've never seen anything like it. And this is a team that goes 10 or 11 deep and no one could find a hot hand. Wisconsin is stingy on D, but it was clearly one of those nights. They had plenty of open looks. 11/47, only making 5 of their final 37 attempts.

We'll see. UWGB has a legit guard in Sykes (23 ppg, 4 A, 87% FT) and a supposed draft pick in 7'2" (12 & 9) Alec Brown. It's not like they're going to be booing Tony Bennett's team in Green Bay. He's a local hero.

Still holds the NCAA 3 point % record, 47 something %. Green Bay is definitely solid. I can see where you'd be skeptical of UVA if this is your introduction to them this year. I just can't fathom the shooting would be anything like it was tonight. I've just never seen anything like that. Congrats to Wisconsin.

They are a long bball team. If they bring it, they give u some matchup problems. They aren't big in the backcourt but they have length and size down low.
