West Virginia Travel Woes

It's less the distance than having to travel from bum**** West Virginia to bum**** Kansas/Oklahoma/Texas/Iowa.

This graph shows how departing and arriving from major metropolitan areas (among other factors) reduces costs:

Yet another win for the PAC 12.

Interesting that we are one of the schools with the lowest cost number on travel but also one of only 3 pac-12 schools that charter for Basketball.

pretty sure that was a Bzzzdelik contract requirement. I don't mind being ahead of our conference mates on something, for once.

What the hell is Wisconsin doing? Are they staying at a 5* resorts and chartering a fleet of G-5's for every trip?

When you don't have a baseball team, swimming team, softball, gymnastics, or wrestling team to worry about, travel costs can be pretty low.

And men's and women's hockey, which have three day travel dates every other week with a large travel party.

Football moves a lot of people, but it is only for one night and only five or six times a year, not counting Bowl games. And why would we count Bowl games?

Yeah... That is all neat and stuff but, their travel budget is far and away the highest of any other team. And they do not have to travel very far for the most part. Thus.... what I asked before. What the hell are they doing to spend that amount of money? It just seems so off base to me.

Then look in the mirror and hit the button on your personal voice recorder.

I badly want to give you credit here but personal video recorder? It is like useing the phrase home bathroom accessory in a slam.

WV should have known their travel expenses were going to go sky high when they bit on the Big Texas hook.

I suppose they want more home games to make up for it.

Don't feel for them.

I would have assumed inbred rednecks would feel a certain sort of affinity for one another. Guess not...
