What can I bring into the CEC?

I remember that they let you bring in empty bottles to fill up inside but are you allowed to bring in sealed bottles of water?

The reason I ask is I'm doing a group project for a class where we start with five dollars and have to sell something in a two hour window and try to make the most money. My group thought it would be a good idea to sell bottled water and/or candy bars before or after the basketball game on Sunday.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Go Buffs!!!!

And oh yeah, **** bailor

I've always been able to sneak in anything I've wanted to, but this year might be different. Back in the bad old days, you could practically bring in a case of beer on your shoulder and no one would bat an eyelash.

You also weren't trying to sell it. Pretty sure this idea won't fly inside.

We would be selling outside of the arena so people could bring it inside. Maybe they would have to sneak it in but that's not hard. Do you think that would work?

Maybe but you might be hassled by the police for not having a permit.

Winter coats are incredible at hiding things. I've been able to bring in anything I wanted over the years as the rules have changed.

Yep. They tried to be strict with scalping last year as compared to previous years. Plus they put up that barricade at the bottom of the ramp so you had to have a ticket to head up. Not saying this cut down on scalping - it just fragmented it and moved it further from the cec - so you might want to consider that when you choose where to sell.

Explain your project more. What do you mean start with $5? So you can only buy $5 worth of product at the start of the two hour window and have to go back more more supply after you sell for profit?

That changes the game unless you're planning on cheating. Group project, get a chick to sell titty flashes to middle schoolers. Win.

Haha that might not be the ethics Leeds is trying to promote these days. But yes, we start with $5 dollars as start up capital and we can use that and our non-cash resources to "add value for the customer". I don't think that necessarily means we have to cheat, $5 can get us a case of water so once we sell 5 bottles or whatever one person could go get more while we sell the rest.

You're right though, we could have chosen to do a service for money but we weren't very creative and just decided to stay with our simple first idea.

Can you suggest a selling spot away from cops but still with good foot traffic? Maybe by the C4C close to the underpass or maybe south of Coors by the Kittredge parking lot?

Lots of foot traffic does by/under the underpass. It's fairly dark around there though, so you might want to make sure you're visible and not sneaking up on people - unless that's your strategy.

I'm sure Leeds wouldn't care if they got a sizable donation from a past student who started their own porn business. I didn't suggest prostitution, so where's the issue?
