What I liked most about tonight

Sefo and PRich set the tone. That tone was pretty much a "**** you" attitude. About damn time some leaders didn't back down. We need more of that attitude.

And it carried through to other players. Powell's run where he refused to go down, got his helmet ripped off, and carried guys to a 1st down inside the 10 was a thing of beauty.

Seriously, Sefo talking back to Barr and PRich pushing the LB down was refreshing. Tired of timid players on the road.

Very much liked how we didn't just implode after the turn over and quick TD.

PRich just punched that guy in the chest and drove him into the turf.

And for those who think it doesn't matter, I submit to you the 2012 season. Jordan Webb had toughness, but his demeanor was horrible with the constant sulking. Even in the post game interview, Sefo was upbeat and confident. Need that from the QB.

I liked seeing the lineman along with others rallying around Sefo. They are now thinking as a cohesive team. Line also did better tonight.

I agree, Sefo is the leader type, not hard to see that in him. He's gonna be a good qb here. That attitude they showed was refreshing, I miss that. One of the reasons I started watching CU was they didn't give a **** who u were, they were nasty with everyone. We need that back.

I liked **** you attitude. It's cu. Hated losing. But more important... we keep it up next week?

You don't go from dumpster fire to respectability overnight. This is a critical step in the process.

We'll see Snow, I think they will. There are things Sefo can't do yet, he can lead, I don't have much doubt about that. Attitude reflects leadership, I think it was a pretty big reason Sefo got the nod in the first place.

Agree with this and the OP. You can see the team is starting to take on the personality/character of its leaders and Sefo and P-Rich have emerged as that (both of those guys are a lot like Big Mac in terms of that fight). I would expect that the team should continue to play with confidence and fire (at least offensively) as long as we've got those leaders out there. Washington is going to be a tough match up for us, very good defense, a beast RB and a mobile QB, but I'm thinking that we should see a team that continues to fight back.

I did not notice Crawley on the field yesterday....what is his story?

I didn't either. During the game, I was hoping it was because he was playing so well they weren't throwing at him. I only remember hearing Awuzie's name once (when he blitzed and batted the pass down when Hundley - again - correctly read the blitz and threw to the vacated area).

Anyone know what our DB rotation was last night?

I liked
That the game was on Fox 1 and didn't require the use of a VLC app with a time delayed and sketchy stream.
That CU played under great weather conditions in the storied Rose Bowl
That it was a Saturday game instead of any other day of the week
That CU was one of the teams on the Top 25 ESPN.Com NCAAFB scores menu
That UCLA made more stupid penalties than CU
That Sefo had no picks and managed to run a respectable offense outside the red zone
That CU was in the lead at times in the first half

Word is that Crawley sprained an ankle in Thursday's practice and was out against UCLA and is day-to-day for Washington (credit to NC Buff). Saw an awful lot of Jeff Hall, but he actually wasn't picked on as much as I would have expected.

Jeff Hall actually played pretty well.

Agree with the OP. Sefo was never intimidated by UCLA from the first snap. The incident with Barr late in the game put an exclamation point on it for sure, but all game long from the first snap, Sefo stood in there and bought time. He will get better at it. He has no fear and nothing but confidence.

And I will say that a lot of guys played that way. This was the first time in a long time that UCLA didn't arse-rape us and the guys looked like they thought they could win. Refreshing to see on the road.

Nik mentioned Powell and I would add Spruce to the list. Gritty game from him last night.

Well stated on all accounts with one more: The game was still doubt early in the 4th
