Let me start out as saying I see this as a winnable game. Not saying I expect the Buffs to win but it is not out of the question.
I want to see better tackling. I understand being young, etc. but at this point in the season it is time to step it up. Most of the tackling problems I see is because the players are not tackling through the opponent...they are grabbing at the opponents not being aggressive.
I want to see better QB play. In all honesty I do not want to see Webb in there, he has had plenty of time to show what he can do and it is not working. But regardless we need better play out of that position. Get rid of the ball, hit receivers in stride, force the other team to make plays. KEEP MOVING THE CHAINS!!!!
I want to see a team that is sick and tired of being thumped. I remember in Hawkins first season when they played Texas Tech, everyone had given up the Buffs for dead but I knew they were going to beat TT...that CU team had not won that year and I knew at some point the frustration of the situation was going to explode - CU beat a heavily favored TT team 30-6. I don't have quite have the same level of confidence that I did back then but I think the situation is similar. Buffs have to quit being tentative and go out and smack someone. Stanford has struggle a little lately and might not being playing with as much confidence.
I want to see better special teams play. Kick-off out of the end zone, get down on punts and cover guys, make some big plays of our own. Last week we gave up 14 points from special teams - fumbling a KO and a punt return.
I want to see a team that does not beat itself. This team cannot afford mistakes.
I want to see a team that does not give up big plays. Make the opponents earn their yards.
I will be there so I don't want to be disappointed..
GO BUFFS!!!!
