I'm a firm believer that RG is just getting every obstacle we've complained about the past 15 years removed. We have facilities, we have a better gameday experience, he's even gone to work with the administration to for getting players into the team and keeping them.

Other than replacing a coaching staff, what remaining obstacles does RG need to address?

If the answer is 'none', then I expect him to making a coaching change this season.

Time and a little luck. We need to keep building the program and have a few teams suffer some sort of relapse.

I agree that the only thing left to do is hire a big boy football staff not this WAC staff that is now in charge of the program.

in terms of for the football team, nothing. if hcmm and staff can't get it done (means bowl game = must next season, so much for my 5 wins this season) go out and make a big hire and expect quick results.

for fans, need to continue to upgrade folsom (sound system, balch, un-cluster **** the beer and food lines, bathrooms, etc.), and upgrade the inside of the foam dome for hoops.

They aren't relapsing nearly far enough.

ASU seems to be picking up steam after that USC loss. USC is still capable of beating anyone, just inconsistent. Arizona was just as inconsistent last season so I don't see them having a relapsing year. Oregon definitely regressed.

On top of that Stanford, Cal and WSU have all stepped their game up this year compared to last.

Nothing.

Even Bohnhead gave him the resources to hire a legit staff and MM turned around and hired a Wac staff
Damn straight! CU is paying for big boy results. Bohn had to take his third or fourth choice, but he didn't need to bring his whole staff, and he didn't need to ride that horse for two years before making changes. Look at the uptick a couple assistants have driven this year! I would contrast what happened here with what Sparkles did in Florida. Did he bring one member of his staff with him?

I would like to see s focus on football first. Once it is fixed(6-8 wins) then he can turn his radar to non revenue sports.

Are you sure it's not a prolapse?
I am not sure...

As a basketball booster I can tell you that he is 100% doing this.

Watching the feedback both us an Ralphie Report are getting on posts about uniforms makes this question interesting to me. Rick is attempting to affect everything he can that is within his direct control and that is not tied to a specific outcome. Essentially he's removing obstacles and doing what he can to raise the profile of our program to make it more appealing outside of the results on the field. So far he's ticked a lot of boxes:
- Fan experience
- revenue maximization
- New athletic facilities
- Uniform Upgrades
- Sponsor-ships
Yet our fans continue to bitch, comments like F uniforms win games are may favorite short sighted tomfollery. By rollign uniforms and creating a weekly release there is now a manufactured spike in interest in our program ever week. Those manufactured moments are what he can control and what he has done so well with. Rick has so far bee a runaway success, there isnt much left he can do outside of Playing QB or trying to coach to improve results on the field. There are a number of things he needs to continue to do though and that would be the area he needs to focus on. Continue to improve our finances day after day, continue to improve the fan experience (women's bathroom remodels and sounds system upgrades in Coors/folsom would be my next move), continue to work with admissions to get the right players in, and when the time comes audition several coaching search firms and pick the right one.
