What is your definition of 'moderator'

Mine is an unbiased chairperson who; oversees and enforces the rules of a forum without opining; does not attempt to influence opinion or suggest/recommend actions or decisions. http://thesaurus.com/browse/moderator. There is a lot of soap box orating going on here. We all have our own positions. Respect that and don't speak for me or try to tell me what I should do.
 
That's not the definition here. Moderators here are allowed to have their own opinions.

What is everyone's definition of "pompatus"?
 
Modulator? Mud-erater? Projecto-latur? Master-debater? Moderator?

All the same thing: A guy with a mullet, a hinky porn-stache and a really cool pair of expensive over-sized aviator shades!

Think "Tony Orlando", with Clarence Williams III's shades!

All the moderators are good for is booting the trolls and keeping recruiting forums clean. Not sure they're good for anything else :thumbsup:

I like the definition in the OP. That sounds like a paid position. Can we switch to that? It could work if you guys are willing to start paying 15 bucks a month for AllBuffs. (Hopefully the technical & online marketing mods will be willing to keep working for free or we'll need to increase that fee.)

Actually, Nik pays the same for the forum he expresses his views in as you pay to read them. Plus, he contributes a ton of content to this board. He's not one of the slugs who simply "moderates" around here.

But don't let silly little things like facts get in the way of your point. Whatever the hell your point is...

Ouch. I think my last feeling has been wounded. :lol: Ps. Fervor I am not sure what your point was either. This is a fan site. For fans. It is unofficial and no one who helps to keep it running is paid anything. The tech folks and the content folks and the web and social media peeps all work for free because they love the buffs. Most of these folks are highly skilled and highly compensated in their real jobs and they donate those skills here to keep this going. Junk and I and some others are just one star mods but we are super lucky to be able to depend on the talents of the ones who make this go. We never claimed to be neutral. We love cu too much to be neutral. So go **** yourself if you don't like it. We don't owe you anything.
