What is your level of Football/Sports experience?

As I read some threads I see posters comment on technique or skill sets and it always made me wonder what are the level of football knowledge is on these boards? I'll be the first to say I played in HS both football and baseball in the 90's and am an avid lover of both sports and devour all I can read/watch.

I played at the highest level.

i started young. at first, i was inexperienced and had to learn my way around and how to execute. after repeated practices and drills, over many years, i became proficient, but never truly hall of fame. after a storied career spanning several decades in which i overcame many injuries and setbacks, i was finally forced to admit i could no longer hang with the kids and i had to dial it way back.

oh.

i was talking about drinking. you're talking about football.

never mind.

High school sports only here (football/baseball), stopped growing which hinders O-line potential. I used to own a video game store at 30th & Baseline (store is still there, different owner) and we had some of the Buff greats frequent the establishment including the late-great Rashaan Salaam. Good times.

Other than that, just a long-time study of the game with a degree in Psychology. Comes in handy at times.

Captain of my HS track team, you want to make something of it? Well, do ya, punk?

My claim to fame is that I caught 36 TD's in one season thrown by QB Sean Salisbury. Easily his most favorite target ever.

But that was in 8th grade flag football. We were unbeatable. I was never able to approach that success again. Sean moved to San Diego Orange Glen HS from Arizona, then to USC and the NFL. Me? I'm Flying in my Taxi, taking tips, and getting stoned.

I never played organized football but I did break my arm playing in that circular park in bonnie brae as a kid so my criticisms are valid and noteworthy.

I played through HS and then turned down D3 offers to pursue my dream of not playing football at CU.

My parents are still pissed at me. Apparently, 20 some odd years after the fact, they still don't get that D3 equals no schollie.

I played wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and won two Super Bowls. Or was it the Denver Broncos? I forget.

2 year letter winner in football and 4 year letter winner in tennis. Only met one other player who did these two sports and he and his partner ended up beating us in the state finals in doubles. He got a scholarship offer from Iowa to play LB for Hayden Fry, I got A chance to walk on for CU but blew it off. I was tired of the whole jock thing. Knowing what I do now with Mac and how he developed men, I wish I had taken the offer.

Had all 28 teams as a kid and would simulate each game every weekend so I would know the outcome. Hardest part was getting my QB to face the correct direction and hang on to that dumb little rubber ball.

Played my whole life. Varsity baseball, varsity wrestling (we won state) and varsity football for a season as a running back.

Played FB through HS, did field events in T and F. Talked to a couple of NAIA programs about walking on, never did it, don't regret it. Invited to walk on at a P10 school for an olympic sport, never did it, but regret not trying.

I got a perfect score on Mario Kart Double Dash Mirror Mode Grand Prix one drunken night in college. Mario Kart is a sport. I'm still proud of it.

I started playing baseball and football around age 5. Played football through high school and baseball through a year in college. Now I'm fat.

I call BS. The ball was not rubber in the game.
