Making the announcing team run stairs? That's a little extreme...

In the wake of the last time someone complained about working conditions at Tech, I still wonder how true every claim is, but that's a ****-ton of folks leaving the program due to one asshole. Something is certainly going on.
 
Fifteen players have already left the program prematurely since he took over in March of 2011, with the most recent being highly regarded recruit Wannah Bail

But seriously, the thought applying it to CU and having Mark Johnson, Goodman, etc. being in forcible lay-up lines and running steps is kinda funny.

seriously. what kind of jurisdiction does BG have with those guys. It would be like a mod here telling us to do up-downs before posting.
 
Honestly, if I was part of the broadcast crew and he told me to do that, I'd tell him to fu*k off right to his face.

Mark Johnson is a big dude. I think I'd like to see Gillespie try to tell him to run stairs...or do a lay-up...he might dunk it, or punch BG in the face
 
What speaks volumes about how out of control Gillispie's temper is and we haven't discussed...

The guy he replaced is Pat Knight and that's who recruited most of the team. When you make Bobby's boy look like a zenmaster, you've got serious issues.
 
this is weird. i used to read Texags.com in the Gillespie days and they thought he was God.

when you saw him on the UK sidelines you knew he was in bad shape, boozing i guess. but, hell, not the first time...they had Eddie Sutton, too. and all respect to people who are friends of Bill W....Gillespie looked horrible. he aged 100 years at UK.

this crap at Tech is booze dementia or something. at least Larry Eustachy (who i think is a very good basketball coach).....took some steps. back coaching, not an asshole.

Knew it would end this way the second he entered the treatment. Helps everyone "save face", although the reality is you can't crush 7 hurricanes and a handle of Aristocrat and show up to practice and beat your players and make your version of Mark Johnson do suicides and run the steps while berating him. Wouldn't be at all shocked to see him pop up a few years down the road at a West Texas A&M claiming to be a new man.
