Operation Millie
I thought I'd post this here so you can see what Ute fans have been up to. Cool stuff.
Millie is a 4 year old Ute fan with Leukemia. Utefans.net decided to rally around her young and cash-strapped family and help them pay some of Millie's massive and mounting chemo bills. If you visit utefans.net you will see at the top of the page that, at the time of this post, $10,850 has been raised in less than two days! Am I here to brag about the legendary generosity of Utah fans? Maybe a little. Mostly I'm posting this here because I know cancer has touched the lives of so many and it is truly tragic when Leukemia tries to take a 4 year old from her family. Those of you with small children can imagine how hard this situation would be. I've lost family to cancer and was touched by Millie's story on a personal level. If you have the means, please join with Ute fans before we start hating each other this coming Thanksgiving and donate to a fantastic cause. If you are unable to donate, feel free to read Millie's story and admire her courage.
You can read Millie's story and donate here (this website was set up for Millie by the mods at utefans.net):

You can see donation totals and read posts about the fundraiser at utefans.net (The site has an awesome format for registered and logged in users and an eye-bleedingly bad format for those not registered and logged in. I suggest registering and talking a little trash sometime.):

FYI - The fundraiser was thought of, organized, and is being ran entirely by the owners and administration of utefans.net. It is absolutely legit and a fantastic cause. This isn't their first rodeo. In 2008 they raised $2240 to send a young Ute recovering from a liver transplant to Disneyland. In 2006 they raised $5836 to help a Ute breast cancer survivor pay her medical bills. In 2009 they raised $2213 for a project called utefans-4-Santa to buy Christmas presents for children in need.
