What's Juwann Winfree's Status ?

Will he ever get to see the field again ?
Brown has filled in nicely but would love to see Winfree and Laviska on the field together.

I think teams have their full attention on Viska at this point. Not sure anyone else can be considered a decoy but him, which is all the more reason we need another playmaker like Winfree back in the lineup.

Having two such players could be good for the other WRs such as Nixon and MacIntyre.

All I heard about in the offseason was how much JW was working...he gained so much respect from the team he became a captain. I want him to have a great season because he's been through a lot and worked his ass off...too many times hard work doesn't pay off, I'd like to see it work out for him.

Really wish Juwann would get healthy and stay healthy for the rest of the season. He adds another dimension to the WR core and creates preparation issues for D coordinators. This is his last season and he really needs to seize the opportunity.

I will be very happy to see Viska, Winfree and Brown all on the field at the same time.
Also will be happy to see Jaylon Jackson get the opportunity soon, after what he's been thru.

Wouldn't help his stats but if we can get Winfree back he provides some similar traits to Viska. Along with rest of the WRs we could give Viska a week or two of lighter duty and hopefully let his shoulder and some of his other bumps and bruises heal up some.

Having Shenault and Winfree on the field at the same time is a nightmare for defensive coordinators. Few college teams have one CB with the size and speed to handle one of these guys much less two.

You got this, Juwann!

That boot ain’t nothin’ but a thing.

Too bad, he's a very likable person and a hard worker. Feel bad for him, but you have to wonder if he'll ever be healthy for the Buffs.

Shut him down and get the sixth year red shirt.

Why? He didn't get hurt until a cheap shot out of bounds against Nebraska.
I mean that injury is why he's out now but he had been nursing an injury from camp. Unrelated injuries between dealing with a hamstring issue and now an ankle injury, but coming out of camp he probably wasn't 100% healthy which is probably why he didn't get many targets first 2 games.

He didn't get a lot of targets against CSU because the 1st string offense played 1 half, and when the back ups came in Mac shut down the air attack.
He didn't get a lot of targets against NU because Viska went OFF and because he got injured on a late hit out of bounds.
