Before the season he projected out as a middle round draft pick, but that's probably not the case now. I'm sure he thinks he can regain his stock through on-field performance, but it's not clear he'll get his chance here. In fact, there's not much reason to play him as other than a reserve--the younger guys give us a better chance to win now AND their continued development helps us in the coming years.
By all accounts Lynott is healthy and he hasn't been so bad that he wouldn't be able to play for another team. I know he's a local kid who's seemingly been dedicated to the program, but why would he NOT consider a transfer? I know he's already used his redshirt and I'm not familiar with all of the transfer rules, so maybe there aren't too many options. But I'd think he'd have to be considering it.
